That should be plenty good enough for the diesel.

The AUX battery delete is a personal thing.
My opinion is, I'd only delete if I was gonna also delete the start stop (ESS) some way. Even if it's the Tazer route, where it remembers the switch position.
There are a lot of electronics in these Jeeps and that aux battery is there to help protect them during the restart of a ESS event.
I left the aux battery in both of our diesel Jeeps. When it was time for new batteries, I just made sure I used quality batteries.

I do like the method in the video Rusty PW posted. But you still need to do something about the ESS.
Full agreement with you about the aux delete. I've seen many posts over the years of issues people have had but me personally, I haven't had a problem. If I do, I'll get rid of it. The Tazer doesn't completely get rid of start/stop, more like 95%. My Tazer works perfectly as long as I remember to cycle through the settings every once in a while. If I forget though, after a few weeks it will lose the live features. That was in the 22 gas model, maybe it will be different in the diesel.

I am waiting now for the new aux battery to fully charge. Getting to it in the diesel is so easy, can't believe they didn't design all JTs this way. It has been on the charger now for over an hour so we'll know if that was the remote start issue shortly.

The year old battery in the 2022 gasser is an Optima Yellow group 94R H7 880 CCA. I realize Odyssey batteries are more preferred but I'd rather not spend another $400+ when I've got a good battery still under warranty. Is there a good reason not to put it in the diesel and add a new aux battery or do the aux delete?
The Optima will be great for the diesel, no worries there. I use an Odyssey in mine and other than brand they are pretty much the same. I originally deleted the Aux battery, but did not like some of the slight changes with the electrical system. Nothing major just small things like the change in the sound of the horn and popping in the speakers if I forgot to turn off the ESS. So, I ended up getting a Duralast Premium from Autozone. That setup works just fine and everything is back to normal, if I forget to turn off the ESS.

Remote start now works, Vtur for the win, thank you! It ended up being a bad hood switch not a battery problem. It went up and down freely but gave same reading in both positions. I thought it should have given a message on dash but it doesn’t on either Jeep. After testing it I pulled the switch off the 22 and the diesel fired right up. Now that I know what it is, I’ll call the Dodge place in the morning and around $30 should have them both working. Thank you everyone for all the help!

I had the same issue in my 13 Grand Cherokee.

How the heck do I comment and include someone else's post with my comment?

Well, the blue gasser is gone now. I’m very happy with the diesel but after putting that much work into the 2022, watching it drive away was tough.

Haven’t done much to the diesel this week. Got the paddle shifters installed on a 392 steering wheel. Removed and cleaned up the wiring the previous owner had used for flat towing. Still need to remove the towing hardware under the front bumper. Got the brake controller installed today along with the bumper mount reverse lights.

Several things coming in this week that I'll add on. Most notably a Banks iDash and Derringer. I also have the Pedal Monster off the 3.6 that Banks says works on the 3.0. The iDash and Pedal Monster are easy enough to install but the Derringer might have to wait until next weekend. After coming from the 3.6 I honestly don’t feel the Pedal Monster is a must have item for the diesel and maybe the Derringer too but I will admit I’m curious how noticeable the change will be.

For tires, I’m only going up to 35” tires on this one. Because it rides and drives so well, I'm not going to change anything about the suspension. Since it is my daily, I’m staying with all terrains. The two I keep coming back to are Toyo Open Country AT 3 and Falken Wildpeak AT4. The only Falkens I’ve had on Jeeps are the Wildpeak AT3s that came on both Rubicons. No complaints with them but neither set stayed on long enough to experience all four seasons. The last tires on the 22 JT were 37” Baja Boss ATs and I loved them so the 35” version is still in the mix. When it sold, they had a little over 28k on them and still had a lot of life left but were definitely louder than when I got them. It looks like these Falkens still have 8 to 10k left so I’ve got some time to decide

I've had both AT3W and AT4W, and currently have Toyo OCIII D rated.

The Falkens are heavy, and the 4W's are not as good as the 3W's were. Still a good tire, but I feel Falken went backwards with this one.

My Toyos have 30k miles on them and I have no doubts they'd see another 20-30k. I have zero compaints about them. Good highway manners, not loud, did good this winter.

My next tire is going to be the MT Baja Boss AT in 37s.

I agree about the new Falkens, heavier than need be and not an improvement over the 3W. That's why the Open Country ATs are at the top of my list right now.

You won't be disappointed with the Baja Boss AT. I had the 37s in about every situation other than serious rock crawling and they just smiled. They were heavy for the 3.6 with 4.10s but not bad enough that I regeared. What I loved about the 37s was that I never had clearance issues. For about a year I has a set of Walmart specials, Venom Power Terra Hunter X/T 35x10.5 tires that I got for $80 each. There was nothing wrong with them but they were small. If I remember correctly, around 33 3/4" mounted under the Jeep. I drug all over the place with them. As long as the 35" I get this time are closer to true, I should be OK. I may end up going back with Mickey Thompson tires and if I do it will be either BB AT in 35" or the Baja Legend EXP. Their characteristics seem very similar to the Open Country AT3. The only thing I know for certain right now is that tire shopping gives me a headache.

Wow, what a ride. Just had the time to stop and read since my last post.

Happy "new" diesel JT to you!

My story was a lot shorter. Finally saw a 21 rubi Jt diesel even had a Mopar lift, 36k miles. Really shouldn't have given them 65k (with all the financing crap) but long as God lets me get up each morning for work, I'm happy as a clam. It has everything my JLU has but the One Touch Top.

Your story, along with many others, helps me learn more about our diesels often. I'm doing the Archoil fuel treatment at basic level to lube the Fuel Pump. 1 oz per/10gal. Didnt start that till I got the JT. The first 75 on our JLU, I didnt bother, had not really picked up on that or changing to 5k oil changes. Am now.

We are running the AT4k 35" on both. So far like them. I had the Falk At's stock on the JLU, they still had 60% wear at 65k but were getting noisy with the one touch top. I ran them on the JT for a little while, till I could spring for some new tires. I was back and forth with the 35 Micky Tom, would love to have gone with the 37" but saw a 2/3 mpg loss with the 35's and still dont do enough off road to justify the 5+ everyone says happents till you regear. Maybe after my second retirement, LOL.

I had 75k on my 21 JLU Rubi diesel before the Snazzyberry JT found us. My 40+ YO kid is putting 30 miles a day on my JLU, he's trying to get back on his feet after a bit of hard times after a bad divorce. I bought the Aftermarket warranty on the JLU so I'm holding off changing the suspension till the 100k mark when it ends. She's at 85k and just got a $500 jeep helps New shocks and front bump stops. I missed the recall on those back when. That front end make your teeth rattle hitting any harsh bump was something I read about shortly after getting her but never saw anything saying they had a fix, till you go aftermarket with the suspension. She has only seen some dirty roads till we took it to Moab last year for our first trip there. My Daughter-in-law got to do her first 4x4 excursion in her and did a marvalious job.

AGAIN, thanks for all the sharing during your adventure. And same to all the Ol' and new hands on here that are more than willing to chime in to assist.

Ive replaced batteries in all 3 of our Jeeps 20/21 JLU/JT. Didnt go fancy. After doing some reading went with the Costo larger ones. First time they didnt have Aux so went with the AutoZone one. For the JT a couple monts ago, Costo had both. Had to drive about 2.5 hours to the not as local costco that had the Aux. Only deleted the aux on the wifes's 2.0T so far. Kept the AUX in the Diesel JLU because of the Warranty. Swaped the origional batteries out of the JT recently, knew the signs when the remote start stopped working. I'll keep the knowledge about the hood plunger for the future.

I look foward to hearing all of the upcomming advantures.

I’m about a month in now and loving the diesel. It doesn’t feel like I’ve done much to it yet by there are a few things I’ve added.

Went with a Banks Derringer tuner, iDash and reused the Pedal Monster from my 3.6. The Derringer added noticeable power. Pedal Monster got rid of throttle lag and the iDash is great for keeping an eye on things.

I moved almost everything over from the gasser before selling it a few weeks ago. The only thing I regret about the sale was that I didn’t keep the RSE slider/steps. The guy wanted them so I let them go.

This past week I removed the stock tires and wheels and put on a set of 392 take off wheels that I’ve had for a few years with 35x10.5r17 mounted. There is still some life left in the tires but they were cheap to begin with so I’ve got a new set of 35x11.5r17 ordered. I’ve had it narrowed down to Toyo open country at3 or Falken at4w for a while. Price being equal I would have gone with Toyo but I ended up ordering 5 Falkens at $279 each and I’ll mount them on the 7.5” 392 wheels. With the +44 I’m a little worried they may rub and it will be close. If they do, I’ll go with spacers even though I have always disliked them. After looking at wheels for weeks, all I’ve done is give myself a headache so I’m staying with these.
