You had oil seepage too? I wonder if that’s how they all are. Might making trying to fix it kinda pointless.Nope.
You may be seeing the offset on the locking mechanism.

I didn't notice any.You had oil seepage too? I wonder if that’s how they all are. Might making trying to fix it kinda pointless.
I don’t have a catch can.I didn't notice any.
Besides, the catch can traps the oil before it gets to the intake.
Well then, there you go!I don’t have a catch can.
Not going to matter if that's sealed well.I don’t have a catch can.
I noticed it when I took that cover off to have a look underneath. The part of the intake near that connection has some oil on it. I’ll fix it.Not going to matter if that's sealed well.
I don't have a catch can, either, and there's no oil anywhere on mine.
I saw somebody on you tube or another forum that changed there PCV valve with the newer one and said hole was also smaller until they checked it again after it was installed and the hole was then the same size as the older one ? Can’t verify if this true ?I just replaced the PCV Valve in 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. It took 10 min.
Open Hood
Lay Thick Blanket over Air Filter area
Step up on bumper and kneeled on blanket comfy.
Undo Oil Line, press and pull off.
Took buggy cord, and hooked it out of the way
PCV Valve is passenger side back of engine, just to right and below fuse box.
Took long screwdriver, and used it to push tab back, and turned 30 to 40 degrees clock wise,
Wiggle it off, and replace.
Very simple. Used MOPAR part from dealer. The PCV Valve hole was smaller then original one like in the discussion. $37 bucks in California. Riley’s had one different name $25. I just went to dealer.
Since these aren't truly a valve, unless I'm missing their function and design, a "smaller hole" means less air pulled from the crankcase.I saw somebody on you tube or another forum that changed there PCV valve with the newer one and said hole was also smaller until they checked it again after it was installed and the hole was then the same size as the older one ? Can’t verify if this true ?
Sounds about right. It rides on the end of the exhaust camshaft that has a air/oil defuser forward of it..I saw somebody on you tube or another forum that changed there PCV valve with the newer one and said hole was also smaller until they checked it again after it was installed and the hole was then the same size as the older one ? Can’t verify if this true ?
I have to admit I have not looked too hard at the engine, components, etc. but @ShadowsPapa isn't this the PCV line? Maybe I'm thinking of something different but I have consistent oil here as well and pretty sure I have seen many others on the forum talking about oil coming from here. After some further research, the hose im talking about is actually the “Make Up Air Hose.” There is oil coming into my intake tube from this hose, it connects at the back of driver side valve cover, and connects just after the air filter on the intake tube.

If an actual recall and not a TSB or other service instruction, it should be covered at no cost to you.Oh and since I am way out of warranty if it was a recall would they fix it for free ?
