There's a thread here somewhere showing an install of an auxiliary tank. There's a company in Australia that makes them.Hi,
Does someone install an auxiliary fuel tank for their petrol JT Rubicon?
If yes, which brand and what are the pros and cons ?
Thanks in advance
Keep us posted there. That was my plan as well and could even cover with bedliner so it blends right inYa it's $$ and takes a lot of work, great youtube vid of it. It is a nice set up but was like 3k+ installed not counting the exh work.
I'm planning on a custom in bed tank, be 18-20 gal, 48W*6D*17H, should tuck up against the bed nicely and not take up to much space being 6=7" deep only.
I installed the same pre-production tank that you have in our JTR.Yep!
Did a LRA auxiliary tank and did a write up on it here…

it is a welded aluminum tank, 17 gallons , DOT is not concerned with anything under 20 gallons. You can find them on ebay listed as "racing fuel cells" I wrapped it in reflectix insulation, armored it with .125" Kydex, and strapped it to L Track rail with 1.5"x .125" mild steel strapping. It has a roll over valve that is vented to a home brewed charcoal canister, with is vented out of the bed using a draft/venturi tube.@bgenlvtex
Is it a fuel cell type gasoline tank or just a box like a diesel type?
Using a diesel type bed or deck tank with gasoline gives DOT the willys (willis?!) in a bad way.
Is petrol gasoline?
If so, yes.
17 gallon aluminum mounted against the front of the bed.
Unfortunately Verizon 5G sucks more ass than all of Congress cumulatively so I can't post a picture.

I've posted some pictures here before I "upgraded" to 5G which crippled my ability to share pics. I try not to harbor malice but I hope the Verizon engineers finger punches through the toilet paper every time he wipes his ass for the rest of his life.
