I’m four hours from Moab, and was there 5 times this year. I’m always up for that trip. Just went the 2nd weekend in October with 4 other forum members. Great trip. We did poison spider and top of the world. Two rigs were stock on 33’s. No issues. No damage. I find it very fun to find the right lines for different rigs. That trip sharpened my skills a bit, as I let my friend do almost all of the driving in mine. So I was spotting someone with no experience. It was great fun.
I'm in Grand Junction, let me know if you ever need another to tag along!

Nice! I love the camping, and also prefer dispersed camping away from people. But I didn’t know there were good primitive spots that close to town. I’m usually 45 minutes+ away from town.
Ditto. We tried to get a spot near the trails but couldn't find anything open. So the GF was able to find some dispersed sites that needed (kinda) a 4wd vehicle to get to and it was absolutely amazing. Google map Moab and then follow 191 south until you get to yellow circle road...dirt road that heads up into the rocky hills and it gets very private. Would have been perfect for stargazing had the new moon not been out when we were there.

Wow. You’re super close. I’d be there every two weeks! Definitely will. More the merrier. I’d like to try one winter trip out there this year. Hotel though. :)

I haven’t done Eagles, but the other three can be done on 33’s. Top of the world is fine in a JT on 33’s as well. Just need the right lines. Fins and things as well. Fine on a stock JT.
I agree with both of your assessments. Not sure I’d recommend Eagles or the Trifecta trails to a newbie rolling solo though. Super fun but some spots you could get yourself in trouble if not careful.

Totally agree, but things get safer with a few rigs. But solo is not a great plan on tougher trails.

White Rim trail in Canyonlands NP is a fantastic trail. It's an easy trail that a stock rig can run. The trail is close to 100 miles from pavement back to the pavement so ideally, you would camp halfway but you can run it in a day. You do need a day-use permit.
If you want a shorter run, Potash Road is in the same area, a lot shorter, and you don't need a day-use permit.

Sweet!

Yes would be, as long as Salt Lake doesn’t get a snow storm, a camping trip/bring my 16’ trailer.

As of now April 1st to the 6th. Late arrival the 1st and on the road first thing the 6th.

I’ll reach out say 1st of the year to firm up with the Gentleman interested!

This could be fun!

Out Long Canyon back Potash via Shafer is a nice loop.

Yurts at Dead Horse Point State Park are nor bad if they are available.
