So this is my first post although I have been reading these articles for a while now.

I bought a 3 piece steel bumper and couldn't be happier with the thickness and quality. I will admit that I bought the one from eBay. It came completely put together with some additional parts that for the life of me I cannot figure out what they do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know that the red pieces are for shackles, but the other items I can't figure out. Especially the bags of screws and bolts. No instructions came with it.

Full picture of the bumper would help. Long strap with nuts welded on are flag nuts for mounting to the frame possibly. Matching round brackets are for the fog log mounts, formed angle plates I have no idea without seeing the bumper and the bolts more than likely attach and mount said brackets and mounts.

Fog lights are already in place, but i thought maybe the round brackets were for other types of lights. I don't have the plastic covers on the front yet, but the bumper appears to have come fully put together.

Following 2 pics look like the bumper to frame brackets and backing bolts. The long tabs are so you can reach the hole where the nut needs to be.

Looks like fog light backing and a license plate mount that can raise up and down.

Red brackets I assume should protrude from the bumper for D-rings and likely bolt to the frame on the other side. I can't figure, from where the pics are, where that would be unless they fit inside the red circle of the already mounted tow hooks.

My plate mount looks similar except it allows for a winch plate.

Also looks like you’re missing the lower skid plate.

I think BLK HOLE got the swing up license plate holder. I never had one so did not look familiar.

After looking at the bumper I have no idea what the red plates are for nor the flag nuts since the bumper bolts to the front of the frame plates. Did it come with a winch mounting plate?

Thank you all for the help. Yes JTPatriot, it has a winch plate. Got it installed and will post pics when the sun comes up tomorrow. And I trimmed about a half inch off the corners of the steel skid that came on the rubicon to make it fit snug. Saved me about $120 plus shipping.

Figured out all the parts. I am happy with it. Looks good in my opinion except for the empty space in the last photo... gonna need a winch.

With your setup, do you find that your fog lamp wiring is awfully exposed? I just did the same job and am wondering what to do about it.

That's the way they are from the factory with the Rubicon steel bumper. We all live with that.
The factory fog light wiring clips to the inside bottom edge of the bumper right to left and the rear of the fog lights is exposed.

I have the same bumper and other than hardware - meaning bolts, nuts and screws, they are a pretty fair copy (well, the finish isn't great but powder coating resolved that)

I couldn't figure out making the license plate part work with a a fairlead and winch hook out there.

Nothing that a few wire ties won't fix. That's what I did with my fog light wires. Tied them up high and neat.

It's not so much the neatness I'm worried about than the exposure to weather and associated corrosion... the wiring harness clip at the frame, for instance, is completely exposed.

My JK has the same "exposed" connectors. It's now 11 years old and never had a problem. It's been in mud, water, snow, slush over it's life, pressure washed to get said stuff out of the bumper. They will be fine.
