How does the truck handle off road with the level kit on? Are you guys finding no change, or is it bottoming out in the dips?
I have found no change. Run her hard down washed out dirt roads and feels the same. 1.5 in spacer, 1.5 in bump stop, by rights same down travel, but 1.5 loss on droop/up travel due to same length shocks. Longer shock upgrade would put that back. mmm, oh i'm drifting... Personally I feel i come down harder, more often than i am launching in air using all the droop, so i think it feels the same. I also dont notice any more body roll than before.

I also find that its the guys with the rubicons that end up wanting to add the rear 3/4” spacer...i think its due to the high front fenders giving the illusion of more of a squat.

So measuring from ground to bottom of the fender is probably not a good representation of level, I don’t believe the fenders are the same height when the truck is actually sitting level. My front fender height was about 1-1.5” higher when it was level. You need a consistent measuring point on the frame or maybe at the front and rear edge of the pinch seams to tell if the truck is sitting level. With my front fenders higher with my level, my pinch seam was dead on front to rear.

Good call. I measured from the frame rails and it looks like 14” from 14.5” rear. Teraflex has this kit on point...i think i am adding the extra 1/2” today though..looking at old pics i dont see much of a difference from stock with just the 1” after a week of driving

Looks good!

I currently have an Overland with Rubicon takeoffs and I wouldn't mind it sitting a little higher. Total noob questions, but:
- Is the main reason people do the leveling just for looks?
- If you do add a leveling kit, does anything else need to be done? (other parts, alignment, etc.)
- Does it impact the ride or gas mileage?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Honestly, I think most of us do it for the looks. In stock form the front end, on some more than others really looks like its sagging. The pic where its facing right really shows it. The one facing left, all plain is in stock form doesnt show it as clearly. The last one, with the roll bar, is with a 1.5 in the front and 1 3/8 in the back. I did the back because with the roll bar and diamondback cover and gear, she settled about an inch. Because we run a solid axle, the lift doesn't affect the alignment at all. The only thing affected is the movement of the track bar which could affect the steering wheel position. But, for a 1.5, it doesn't and there isn't anything else to do, just stick the hockey pucks in there! I did it in my driveway, front and back in about 4 hours. And before anyone fires back, yes, it does help to fit a 35, no argument, of course, there. FWIW, i am running 285/70r17, a 32.7. And will definitely nudge it to a 285/75r17, a 33.8.

This Rubicon owner believes you are correct. Guilty as charged!

Has anyone noticed their front tires sound louder since installing leveling kit?? Wondering if longer conrol arms would help that or what psi you guys are running your tires at?
