(Poll) what's better Jeep Wrangler OR Jeep gladiator and why.

I personally love the Jeep Wrangler more but I still love the Jeep gladiator.

Then why are you asking go . Why run a poll about the gladiator on a gladiator forum. Sorry this is not necessary.

Love the Wrangler and it was what I wanted to buy… but needed a small truck for yard work at home and all the projects I have around the house/workshop… so Gladiator it was.

I'll be honest.. at first I hated the 4 door Wrangler, it seemed....wrong. But it grew on me.

When I first saw the Gladiator on the road, my wife says, "Oooo !! Me likes !!". I turned to her and said, "I'll pretend you didn't say that to a man that owns a proper REAL Jeep." (1953 Willys CJ-3A, 6-volt, in the garage). "That thing is an abomination to Jeeps. Jeep used to make proper pick-ups; not just slap a bed on the back of a Wrangler. That looks SO stupid.".

The more and more I saw them, the more I liked them. Gladiators are REAL popular in this part of Texas.

As I was getting ready to retire, I started thinking about my "retirement vehicle". Gladiators kept popping to the front of the list. Started reading reviews about them; the dreaded steering pump issue causing the vehicle to catch fire whether the vehicle is running or not, the wandering steering wheel, etc.. All the uh-oh's. It didn't really sway me.

But I bought one anyways. Love it.

From a utility perspective I think it depends on what you are going to use it for. I prefer cars with four doors from a practical point of view although styling is favored by 2 doors, That said I would
prefer if my Gladiator had an extended cab similar to the show truck of 2005 with a longer bed
and just 2 doors (4 if a clamshell design like my '07 Dakota). Then I could lock my valuables inside and still have more bed capacity. Had my '07 Dakota SLT with a V8 not been totaled by a
young driver unable to stop on slick roads it could still be on the road. It was only 13 yrs old
with approx 130 K miles. Now I always wanted a Jeep 'someday' and as a result of that accident,
2020 and Covid 19, with the closing of manuf plants, forced the issue. Love the Gladiator, few
electrical gremlins like many others but overall good truck, I'd still prefer 2 doors and a longer bed.
My son had a 2009 Wrangler Rubicon, good vehicle but without the capacity of a truck. With
enough money I imagine you can have anything you want built, V8 engine, manual trans etc.

I like my Gladiator better Monday through Friday and I like my Wrangler better on Saturday and Sunday.

Never owned a Jeep before buying the '25 Gladiator, but so far we're loving it!

Gladiator for camping trips and having room for cargo.

Wrangler for shorter off road runs and 1-2 day adventures.

Nuclear option: BOTH

gladiator flat towing an LJ with a dual sport on the LJ’s hitch for all the things.

I've been on several automotive forums, depending on what's under my butt at the time. Someone always asks the same question, "Is X vehicle better than YOUR vehicle ?" making forum members defend the vehicle they are on the forum for...
