From a Facebook group I frequent, something to watch out for:

“2020 JT / JL owners may have 2 left shock mounts instead on one of each. Watch for recall info in the coming days on how to verify, and actions recommended.“

Anyone heard anything about it? Or can we get some part numbers from members to cross reference?

Is this an incorrect one ? It looks like the shock mount is angled in towards the truck a little. Isn't that normal ? Both sides angle in slightly ?

To help with this, here are pics of my front lower shock mounts. Mine is a JT Rubicon with manual transmission. The shock mount numbers on mine do not match. So, I assume that is good.

Here is underneath of the passenger side shock mount on the axle.

I would assume you’re fine- I don’t know the status of the issue, or if a recall is imminent (that speculation was from the FB group) I’m just putting it out fyi

Fun. The techs here can hardly change oil I don't know how I'd feel about them welding critical components. Do dealerships usually have decent welders or do they out source it to a local body shop?

I would think they'd swap out axle housings.

I have one of those Jeep Gladiators with the wrong shock mount but the problem is that jeep says they will replace the complete axle assembly under warranty but the catch is they claim they don't have any. I have been waiting almost two months for a replacement front axle and passenger side shock. The concern I have is what if it was the engine or transmission that had a problem and they needed to replace it am I just out of a vehicle until they get around of doing something. We purchased a 7 year 100,000 mile warranty but it does no good if they can't supply the parts to repair it and you can't trade it if it's broken so your stuck! What then pray tell?

I wouldn't worry about hypothetical problems you don't have. Realistically, the wrong shock mount probably won't cause a problem. It's hard to be patient, but they should get you a new front axle when one becomes available (which I wouldn't think should be too terribly long). Contact Jeep Cares to start a case, and maybe they can speed it up some.

If you have a problem that they cannot repair, and you have enlisted Jeep Cares and exhausted all other avenues for assistance, then it is time to investigate Lemon Law options.
