Just finished this mod last night! Ordered parts from allmoparparts.com and used the jscan app to make the adjustments in the system. Fantastic info on this forum!

Thanks!

How are you guys getting the parts? I've been told "national backorder" on both harnesses for 4-6 weeks, no end in sight.
You must be getting these things from some other source, I sure can't get them and now winter is here with snow and 30 degree temps, too late to work in the garage.

If I had gotten them last week I'd have beat our winter setting in. Bummer. I've not gotten a word on timing so likely it will be next spring the way my luck goes. 4-6 weeks for anything I order always turns into months.

You guys either don't have BSM or ordered from a totally different place. I still have zero work other than "national backorder 4-6 weeks".
I do have blind spot monitoring so maybe that's the difference?
Or where I ordered is on the tail end of getting any.
2 weeks? I wish!

I REALLY wanted this for WINTER. When you have gloves on or the wind is blowing 20 mph and it's 20 degrees out, last thing you want to do is fumble with a fob (of ANY size) to get locked or unlocked.

At least the giant fob might be easier to hold and push with it's huge buttons. I have everything installed but harness .. backorder as well. And I never have luck finding Jeeps in junk yards

Ah, that makes it different because that one wasn't in short supply last I knew.
I wish I had ordered that one for NO-BSM and simply transferred the wires over for BSM - I could be done by now. It would have been an easy switch just moving the wires, and I have no need for the original harnesses once I did the upgrade.
Maybe I should order the left and right for non-BSM JTs and be done with it.

Check with Bennie and see if he has a better time frame.

Hi Guys,

Mopar has superseded the non BSM harness to the BSM ones hence we only offer one kit. In hindsight this makes perfect sense and should have been done initially from mopar. With that said availability is not good on either side harness at this time. The only positive info I can see is that there is a decent amount in transit but I assume they need to go through packaging and distribution still.

For those who are waiting we appreciate your patience,
- Benny

Now that makes sense. I wondered since it's a minor difference between the two, why have two harnesses for each side?
I was thinking I should have gotten the non-BSM harness and simply moved wires over since all I needed were those wires for the lock system. If I could have bought just those wires I would have.
But now anyone wanting these is waiting for the same part regardless of BSM or non-BSM.
At least now we have some background to the story.
Thanks.

It would be amazing if a huge stock of the original harnesses just showed up and were available immediately
