All stock here, I run 17.5 average mpg. A little less in the winter on occasion, like 16.5 once in a while if it’s really cold. My best is in the 19’s. I can’t ever see getting 22 ,LOL. My driving is around 60/40 mostly freeway.

You couldn’t pay me to take a diesel with all the troubles they’ve had with the fuel pump.

Oh, and welcome back ;)

All you need to know is that the Mojave is best trim of the Gladiator.
It gets Sexy-Miles-Per-Gallon. Wow.

Hey Guys,

I am considering a Gladiator. Prefer an EcoDiesel, but my local dealer has a 2023 Mojave 3.6 V6 automatic that is heavily discounted.

The window sticker says the V6 gets 17/22 MPG. Is this true?

What are you guys getting for MPG on a stock Mojave?

Thanks in advance.
Im getting 16-17 in the city if I watch it, and 20-21 on the highway

I thought you said goodbye to us Jeep peasants a couple months ago? Already coming back?

I bought a 23 JTM in October. I immediately put 37's on it so I have no idea what MPG would have been stock. I do know the winter blend has dropped mine about 1mpg in the past month. Yes, Florida gets winter blend fuel.

I've had it up to 18.3 and down to 17 in my daily driving.
In 21 he was looking at a Mojave. Slow process I guess.

Never ever got over 17.2 mpg with my Mojave with stock 33's (gas/auto). That was in the summer with mixed driving. Winter was dismal with numbers dropping into the 14 mpg range.

Just the nature of the beast.

If Mojave came in diesel, I'd probably take it over my MT gasser, now that I have 6 months under my belt. Every pound of stuff you add makes a noticeable difference when you're lacking low end "power" (See torque vs HP thread). Regearing helped but there's only so much you can do with a non-turbo.

I live around the mountains of Washington/British Columbia and believe a diesel would handle it much better. Can't hold a coffee for long before I gotta downshift... Plus the rather limited 275 mile range on gas vs diesel.

I'll prob look at the hybrid closely, but the battery tech they use will be the make or break for me.

If I keep to 70 mph I can get 17-18. My absolute best tank in 5,600 miles of ownership has been 18.6 mpg. That is mixed driving that includes some stop and go and running errands all the way up to 75-80 on the interstate. My overall average is hovering at 17mpg.

The difference in driveability of the diesel vs gas is immense, not even considering mpg. Drive both on an interstate before you decide. I chose the 3.6 because I didn't want to deal with diesel emissions equipment (already have a Ram with a diesel, which I love except for the emissions system), I didn't trust the high pressure fuel pump on the EcoDiesel, and they got recalled (for the fuel pump) almost immediately after I started looking at them (they were all pulled off the lots, could not be sold).
Completely colloquial, but my friends wife’s Eco diesel wrangler has been nothing but a lemon and it spent quite a bit of time in the shop versus his gas gladiator

I looked at Wrangler 4Xe: they drive nice, but the technology is not yet where it needs to be IMO.

Because of the fuel pump issue, or something else?
