Can someone share to the mechanical noobs here where to look for said connector to make sure it looks okay?
It is the connector at the PS Pump. On the 3.6, remove the airbox and you will see the connector on the PS Pump directly under it.
You can also see it from underneath the vehicle, but you'll need an inspection mirror to see the top side of the plug.
Helpful hint: remove the airbox as a complete unit to avoid having to deal with those PITA screws holding the upper & lower halves of the box together.

Does this mean the hotels with parking are going to kick you out to the street?

No. They wouldn't want to take responsibility if the truck does catch fire sitting on their lot.
Well if mines ends up being one that requires a repair they better give me a rental rubi that I van take offroad, I have trips planned haha

I believe I have read here or elsewhere that dealers can’t sell the used vehicles on their lots with the recall unless the recall has been preformed and corrected. I wonder if this is true.

Well, I made the list! I think the other million + should post here when they find out too!
I just rechecked. Me too. Ecodiesel, just in case anybody is wondering if we caught a break on this one.

Retired. Finally !!
I called my dealer today to schedule an appointment (like the web site said, although I already knew the answer...)
Jeep receptionist: Hello
Me: Can I have service, please
(call transferred)
Service: How can I help you ?
Me: I may be the first to call about the recent recall...
(silence)
Me: I'm f***king with ya, buddy....
Service: (giggles) Oh, ok....
Me: I bet you're getting slammed right now.
Service: Yes we are. Bad part is, Jeep is giving us NO info to pass on, only "Parts unavailable" with no time frame. Not very helpful. (He runs my VIN, verifies I'm on the list)
Me: I bet everyone is going crazy, even though until the recall they were happy clams.
Service: (laughs) Yeah they are. Some people want us to deliver a loaner car to their house and tow their Jeep away in case it catches fire. This recall is going to take months, not weeks.
Me: Shit, it'll be months before Jeep gives you a parts time frame !
Service: Probably !!
Me: So what do I do ? Wait ?
Service: Yes sir. Jeep will either email you or send to a letter to bring it in. No need to call for weekly updates, there is nothing we can do. Jeep will be doing this in stages.
Me: I understand. I'm just gonna drive it like I always have.
Service: That's what I'm doing with my Wrangler.
Me: I guess I'll talk to you....whenever.
Service: Yes sir. Sorry.

No need to yell at this guy, he has nothing to do with the issue. He is probably the lowest guy on the totem pole.

That was nearly my discussion with my service advisor today. Her phone is lit up with people panicking… She had no idea what the fix will be and I’d probably get a letter sometime in July, until then, I won’t be loosing any sleep.

Well I’m in there like swimwear!!!! Just checked with the ViN and I’m in “The List”.

I tried to connect the vin with the Jeep app at the same time and it told me I had to call an agent. First thought was,” Well that’s never good.” Anybody else get that?

Not that I need any sympathy from anyone here, but FML, I’ve now got a daily driver BMW X5 that goes in on the 24th for a recall repair because the starter can cause engine fires, and I’m waiting to hear when my 2021 JTRD will be repaired because the power steering pump can cause engine fires. I’m just hoping one of them burns my house down when my wife and I are at work!
