Pulled my rear arms and the same thing has happened. The original, factory bushing did this exact samething. When I pulled the arms off the balls were loose in the bushing, just like the originals. I installed the pictured set at 25ftlbs and they were well greased.As you can see the bushing gets soft and pushes into the grease raceway. I wish I had pics of the original factory ones because they were exactly the same.![]()
I posted pics of my original pro flex bushings earlier in the thread and the red replacements are working fine.

hey if Im not mistaken, I think the torque is now 20lbs not 25 on these. Lets get confirmation from RK but when I called them about mine I was told that everything is the same to rebuild the joints as shown in their video, except use 20lbs not 25.

Having the joint raceways creep into the grease groove has nothing to do with the TSB and is a totally normal function of the joint raceways. Honestly, we are busier than we have ever been before. I run all the forums and a lot of the facebook pages solo. A year ago, I would see 20-30 emails daily and take around 20 phone calls each day. Currently, I'm seeing about 130 emails on average and my phone literally doesn't leave the side of my face all day. I'm not complaining, just giving the facts of life. We have been looking for a sales/tech support person for quite some time to help spread the load and get us back into the more fun parts of the job, like forums. I wish I had more time to be in here...Wonder why Rockkrawler is no where to be found on this thread any more ?

the grease passageway is greater than the width of the material that has crept into it. creep was not part of the TSB, it has been a normal occurrence in Krawler joints since 2003. Johnny joints, which are claimed to be an industry standard in joints, creep in the same way. that grease channel is completely blocked from getting grease. This is exactly what the factory ones did which you said was a failure of the bushing material.

That bushing you're saying has normal "creep" was 3 months old, screeching like banshee and loose just like the original factory installed ones did after 4k miles. These Rock Krawler joint bushings are doing the same thing as these pro flex ones. Do you have a durometer? Can you show what the measured durometer of the raceway is? The material being used is correct, we have certifications to verify chain of custody and validate the material. Surface wear is expected and not indicative of a material breakdown. The material breakdown that was part of TSB#2 was a literal change in durometer when exposed to hydrocarbons. What you're displaying is not any form of evidence to support that claim. We don't make assumptions, this is simply fact based.

If I had kept those bushings I would absolutely have sent them to you but I didn't keep them. Creep happens as the retainer is torqued, you can see the first signs of it immediately.
The Pro Flex Bushings and the Krawler Joint Raceways are made of entirely different materials, validating something you don't think is correct based off of an entirely different part or component is a really bad assumption.
We do have a very high durometer raceway if you'd prefer, I'll shoot those out to you. We don't use them in production outside of track bars as they have far less NVH damping but they won't creep the way that you're experiencing.

On an individual, case by case basis, I'm sure it is something we can do. The high durometer large krawler raceways are a very low volume item for us so doing this in mass is not possible. The user above has concerns and I want to do what I can to satisfy them....is this now an option?
