What is the purpose of keeping the Rubicon rails once the ACE sliders are added? Getting ready to order, and just curious.
They look great, and well balanced. And also continue to protect an area not necessarily fully covered by rails.

Guys, I just wanted to share my first impressions of a set of rock sliders I got from Frog Fab.

The rails are super beefy and protect all the way down to the frame rails. They match the lines and the contours of the sides perfectly and best of all, look like an OEM part straight from the factory. Iā€™m not a fan of other sliders that are plastered with logos and wanted a clean look.

Bonus: my height challenged wife approves as they can also double as steps!

Install was fairly straight forward, it bolts to the pinch seams, body and tub mounts. We did have to saw off a random bracket on the passenger side frame (maybe for RHD markets?) and widen two pinch seam holes slightly with a drill.

I havenā€™t tested these on the trails yet but I have no doubt they will perform. Highly recommend anyone wanting an OEM looking slider for their truck to talk to JL at Frog Fab:http://www.frogfab.com/

Nice looking - and those look like they'd offer great protection.

They donā€™t have them listed on their website yet, a local guy up here recommended I reach out to them and luckily they had a pair . I recommend emailing them if youā€™re interested.

Yeah, it's not as drastic in person. It does show towards the rear of the slider in front of the rear wheel wells. These were definitely built to accommodate guys running big tires and flexing. Both front and rear are just a little short where people will trim the stock slider and pinch welds. This will probably annoy people who plan to stay stock or a small lift. I had to trim my factory slider on my JKU by about 2 inches when I went to 35's before I went to a frame mount.

There will be an ugly gap if you donā€™t.
Agree. Plus if the rails bend for a hard hit, youā€™ll have more protection.

Those may work well as steps, but not rock rails. Thereā€™s not enough there to keep from bending.

That looks pretty flimsy for off road.

The Shrockworks sliders link: https://www.shrockworks.com/JJT-SL-pr-16305.html

Rusty's Offroad Sliders (the ones i ordered) https://www.rustysoffroad.com/jeep-...rocker-armor-2020-and-later-jt-gladiator.html

Also the rusty's offroad seem to have better mounting if you want to add aftermarket skid plates since they are not in the way in the frame and yes the sliders still mount to the fram but not directly, just on the body mount brackets( i hope im making sense) also i went with the rusty's sliders cause i feel that they will do a better job at sliding off rocks cause of the way they mount to the fram and your not gonna have bolts that are gonna catch on "anything"

I have the Rustyā€™s sliders as well. Personally I bought them over the Shrockworks was the way they mounted to the frame as well.

The only negative thing I have to say about the Rustyā€™s sliders is that the front body mount on both sides didnā€™t line up. I ended up having to open the hole up with a carbide cutting bit and spray painting the hole afterwards.
