I'm getting ready to upgrade my steering and have been eyeballing the Rockjock/Currie system, which can be had for ~$700 and includes the steering stabilizer relocation brackets. Does anyone have experience with this kit? I searched and found very little. I'm trying to weigh this vs spending the extra $300 plus on the aluminum options (RPM, Doetsch, etc)

I would strongly recommend the aluminum kits...people are still bending the beefy steel kits such as Steersmarts etc.

I just installed the RPM Steering Kit...its beefy as hell. Honestly, with the aluminum ones just go with the brand that happens to be the cheapest that day. Almost went with Doetsch but the price went up the day I ordered so went with RPM. Just be sure to get the steering relocation bracket that these kits do not include to move the factory tie rod mount to the axle. I went with Clayton but the Rockjock bracket looked good too.

Cheers

I ran the Currectlync on my JK and loved it. Very well built.

After the stupid shit I did this weekend I highly recommend rpm steering. It bent and came back to true and the 2.5 ton ends did great.

I think rpm has a discount if you call and tell them you are a forum member.

Apexchassis has a nice 2.5 ton aluminum set. I have it and it’s very beefy but have yet to install it as I’m waiting on a bunch of other things too.

Have any of you with the aluminum kits had a significant galvanic corrosion issue?

I haven’t had mine on long enough to notice anything but I also hit it with some mothers when I clean the jeep. Apex has a option to have theirs coated.

I'm more worried about the threads getting corroded and seized at the TRE's. I would definitely use anti-seize, but I've seen reports of galvanic corrosion happening even with the use of anti-seize in one of the Gladiator Facebook groups I follow.....but who knows how reliable that is.

FWIW I see Rusty's Non Aluminum is in stock for $650. They just launched a update to their site and some prices did increase.
