Update on my leak/repairs. Took it in on the 21st and the dealer determined it needed new glass. Took it in yesterday for install, and go figure, they scratched my Hydro Blue top. They are being stand up about having it repaired, but really sucks. No ETA on when I will have my truck back.
And.....if they are like other Stealerships everywhere, they WILL fuck something else up during the "fix" for the last thing they fucked up.

I’ve also used this and it seems to be keeping water from leaking in around the seal…unfortunately, I think my center sliding window is also leaking as I have water in the top again.

Sadly for me I think my best option going forward is going to be to replace the hard top with a soft top. I’m out of warranty so there is no shot I will get a dealer to cover the new window or a new hard top. If I’m going to have to shell out a couple grand of my own money I’m sure as hell not going to roll the dice on paying for a new window or buying another hard top and hoping it’s better.
So my center section was fine. I went out and took a look while it was raining the other day and there was water dripping on from multiple points at the top of the window. The rubber weather stripping I had installed around the window wasn’t working. I pulled it out and used black silicone all the way around the exterior of the window in the channel between the glass and the top and it’s been bone dry since. I have the black ”unpainted” top so it’s unnoticeable unless you know to look for it.

And.....if they are like other Stealerships everywhere, they WILL fuck something else up during the "fix" for the last thing they fucked up.
I’m almost glad I’m out of warranty and had to figure this out myself. I generally despise dealerships. I have had many more disappointing experiences than good ones…

Update on my back glass. Truck came back today after going to the body shop to repaint the top where it was scratched and install the new back glass. Happy with the results other than having to clean up the back seat area from glass dust/pieces of glass. Hopefully no more leaks!

Had my window replaced by the dealership about a year ago. Noticed today it’s leaking. I don’t believe they have fixed the design. Replacing bad parts with bad parts.

Taking mine in this morning for my leak. Already have a Jeep Cares case started. We’ll see what happens. Thankfully this is a lease, so if I am not happy with the results, I hand it back and wash my hands of this brand. Not thrilled with what I have seen so far and will lose $100 in decals when they replace the glass.
I was already bummed about my stickers, but now I'm elevated to mildly pissed off.
I had mine to the dealer for the leak back in the beginning of Nov. They finally got me in today and the third party glass company said they can't do it today because they didn't have the right tools. Jeezus ?
Additionally, they didn't have a loaner, so I took my wife's vehicle to work today. She picked my truck up, so idk if they scratched my top or busted any trim tabs. Guess I'll find out tomorrow when I look at it....

Just joining the site after seeing that my Jeep has been leaking for quite a while. Doesn’t look like mine is leaking from the glass, really hard to figure out where it’s coming from!

That’s the glass seal leak. It’s the perimeter seal for the entire glass assembly.

Mine leaks a little from the sliding glass door during heavy rain but I'm hesitant to bring it to the dealer for reasons everyone's mentioned. Will this kind of problem get worse over time?

So I suddenly have this problem and I have a theory. I went from no leaks at all to leaking pretty bad after the weather got down to 20ish where I was. I keep my rear heat vents pointed kind of up towards the back glass. I can't help but wonder if rapid temperature fluctuation has something to do with it failing.

Regardless I have called my dealership and set an appointment. I am going to document that my hard top has no scratches and let the service writer know my expectations up front after reading the horror stories here.

There are plastic pieces from the slider window frame that are exposed past the gasket on the top. If the plastic cracks or if the gasket doesn’t hold its seal, it will leak.

Mine’s a ‘21. Not sure build date (how do I find that?), but noticed leak with 6K miles.
There is a silver sticker in the door frame or jamb area as you open the driver's door, to your right in the frame above the striker. There's a year and month but there's also a place on the sticker that says MDH
MDH is Month, Day, Hour.
So from two places on the sticker you can nail down year, month and day of the month it was built - and hour is the 24 hour military type notation so 06 is 6 am, 18 is 6pm and so on.

Two weeks ago, I asked my wife to take the Jeep to the dealership, because the back window was leaking. Expecting their solution to be a seal replacement, imagine my surprise when she they need to replace the back window, the sub-woofer, and the top.

Today we dropped it off and get a call 3 hours later telling us they ordered the wrong top. My question is, is just simple as they are telling me? Can they just paint this?

1/26/2022

Our service manager called at 1230 saying that didn’t get to yesterday or this morning and they would need to keep the JEEP another day.

1/27/2022

Our service advisor called 1200 saying that the paint shop still has the JEEP AND MAYBE HE Could get it back to us on tomorrow Monday the latest.

1/31/2022

The service advisor calls 1220 to tell us that top is not done but it will buy cob tomorrow

2/1/2022

Service advisor called and left a message at 1630 the got back the top today. But they will need to put on tomorrow.

I don’t get these glass “experts” and their complete inability to deal with Jeep glass…it’s almost like they’re a job house for blind people or something.
