I don't remember where I have and haven't shared these videos, so sorry if this is a double post, but feel free to check out my video talking about the cap and rack.

I put a 1358mm L x 1425mm W on mine, and it fits great.

[/QUOTE
I just ordered my Smart Cap with the factory load bars. My question is I plan on adding a flat rack and wonder if I should keep the factory load bars, or just delete them all together and use whatever feet are supplied with a rack? Otherwise should I use load bars at all to mount a rack to? Thanks

-I ordered last friday when offroad alliance posted that they had some in stock, it got to the freight terminal Wednesday. Originally it was going to be delivered to my parents house (they have garage space to work indoors) then realized a freight truck couldn’t get far enough down the drive for my parents to be able to manhandle the skid into the garage. Since the terminal was only about a mile from my house I just went and picked it up. The skid was bigger than I had expected but luckily it fit in the bed (the skid is all the way against the front of my bed.
-Packaging was sturdy, I had the 2x4 uprights attached to the skid. No damage to anything.
-Assembly the side were a snap they slid in enough to get a rubber mallet and tap them in. The front and back... somewhere in South Africa is a man who designed those 3 piece bolt-into-square-plastic thing fasteners, hopefully I never meet him. RSI if you’re listening if the bolts were a little bit longer it would have been much easier to get them together. To be fair I was working by myself but it was hard to use 2 hands to get them started and hold the cap together and keep everything lined up. Also they were not hand right from the factory. The sides probably took 5 minutes each to unwrap and install, I probably spent an hour easy on the front and another hour on the back. Yes it’s dark in my after pic. Installation was easy, it’s just heavy. Unfortunately it was dark and getting close to freezing so I forgot the foam strip under the front of the cap, so when it warms up or I have garage space I’ll have to get that installed.
-Overall I’m pretty happy. My only con like I said is if those bolts were a little bit longer they’d have been easier to put together (if you’re not following the instructions and trying to do it alone. Other than that it looks awesome, everyone at work today says they like it. The MOLLE panel is a lot sturdier then I expected it to be. Not a fan of the smart cap logo on the sides but it peels right off.

yep that’s badass! You like the EvoA? I ordered the Evo with the glass side windows for my dogs. Do the solid sides make visibility poor? Like you said OA had those in stock.

I can’t speak to the EvoA. But visibility with the Evo in general is overall just bad. Even with the windows, I still can’t see through them from the drivers seat. Thank goodness for blind spot monitoring.

I like the solid doors so I don’t have worry about breaking glass when I’m off road. As for the visibility, I’m sure it’s reduced, especially the blind spots, but I have blind spot mirrors on both sides and I’m used to driving trucks with limited rear/blind spot visibility at work.

@Scous88 I think your above question was directed at me? The quote was formatted a bit weird and wouldn't let me reply to it. If it was for me:

If you're going to mount a rack anyway, personally I would bolt that straight to the roof rails on the canopy. I personally don't see a need for load bars beneath the rack. It seems like unnecessary extra height to me. With that being said, the RSI channels are a bit more narrow than most manufacturers, so if the mounting anchors for the load bars can't be repurposed (I'm not sure exactly what their setup is) you may need to source some from elsewhere. For example, I had to special-request mine from Frontrunner when I ordered my racks.

P.S. I'm kind of jealous of you guys and your new EVOa caps. Feeling kind of misled as an early adopter, back when they said that the EVO Sport and the EVOc were going to be the only two offerings. Oh well. Still loving it!

Thank you yes that was for you. I’m not sure why it formatted that way. That’s exactly what I was curious about and assumed myself so thanks ?

Quick Pic of mine, just to give lots of different color combo looks. Very happy with fit and finish. Getting lots of looks on the road.

Hey Al, great pics. Any chance you could include a few more angles and wider shots? I’ve got same colour truck and thinking seriously about investing. Cheers

So far from what I have seen, this might be the best option for me personally. The window one has optional sliders like I tried to show. You can add boxes for either side. Completely open, kitchen, or even drawers. The inside has a slider opening into the cab and then is sealed and positive pressurized. There is a interior roof mounted table option. Really the design might fit the idea of the JT better than the slick options from leer. (They do have a crazy convertible shell design that is on the short list for the gladiator, I'll post pics in another thread.) I don't really know what prices are on the fiberglass style shells, but this shell would run 3800 with the glass, plus side shelf, plus maybe a slick roof rack. Easily into to it 5k. Idk if you can tell what is going on with the roof racks, but they slide out and then down the side of the shell. Everything on these worked so well and was so well designed. Their sales pitch is that it is built to last the lifetime of the jeep.
Plan on this for new Gladiator-comparing to RLD-very similar-Need the windows for Dog Noses. Black SS and a load of 700# stationery-Not Too Shabby!! Fiberglass by Leer are almost same price and I wouldn't put one on a Jeep.
