sound like abs. when I installed front trackbar bracket, before steering wheel adjustment. the wheel was far enough off to cause the abs to pulse
OK, maybe this is impossible but can you disable ABS and see what happens? In another time that would mean pulling a fuse or a relay. Not sure if the JT will let you run like that.

Think you can pull the fuse, but someone with more knowledge would have to fill in the details here.

Can't find a fuse or relay for the ABS. Tried disconnecting the module but it won't start without it being connected.

ABS is involved in "stability control" and "traction control". (and BLD, etc.)
IF you are used to driving 20 year old vehicles or older, it's a non-issue.
I never did fix the ABS on my other Jeep - on the other hand, I love the modern systems for the most part so if it stopped working on my JT - I'd fix it.

Do you have the Fwd collision warning - ACC stuff?

It's most likely down shifting when you let off of the gas. When mine was new, I could let my foot off of the gas and it would downshift almost to a crawl. The gears have loosened up since then and I can coast. Couldn't coast when it was new.

It would throw a code and light up your ABS dash light etc if it was ABS (or traction control). When braking or with my foot off the brake coasting I can feel my JTR downshift and it feels like braking. In your options you can select to see your gear that you are in, it shows up next to your odometer. So you can verify if its truely that or not.

I second this, I'm still in the breaking in period and it noticeably slows the truck when it downshifts while trying to coast

What happens if you put it in neutral and coast? Does it still slow down the same?

So i drove it today and it is not downshifting while doing it. Also it is intermittent. It's not consistent but it's 90% out of times.
If its happening 90% of the time and it was being caused by brakes, there would be an enormous amount of heat generated. Especially if it is all being done without only one wheel.
