Look up high near the firewall. Mine were tucked up to the left, but wires are long enough to go either direction. Covered in black tape.
Heck times like this I wish I knew a contortionist! I looked saw some black taped wires, but they’re attached to something beyond my line of sight. I’ll try again... after this old back recovers some.

I'm looking to buy a JT Rubicon at local dealer. Would be my first jeep (would also be my first new vehicle). Planned on ordering one but the dealer had one on the lot that has almost everything I want (given the steering issues I've read on this forum, I thought it might be better to just buy one I know drives well as opposed to ordering one and rolling the dice).

It has everything I want except the $350 tow package. Would this be hassle to add aftermarket? Obviously the hitch would be easy. I guess my concern is the "Heavy Duty Engine Cooling." Any other drawbacks (it also doesn't have the Aux Switch group, but I know this shouldn't be an issue to add)? Would appreciate any thoughts.
I bought my Gladiator Rubicon with no hitch. The dealer tried to add and aftermarket hitch but it would not fit correctly. Not sure what the issue was. I ordered a hitch from another dealer and was told that the Mopar hitch is on back order until May or June. We'll see how it goes...

Well guess I’ll have to have a chat with the dealer! I’m using some of the ones under the hood but sure don’t see any in the cab!

Ended up getting the one without the tow package. They agreed to add the tow package (which is being done next week) as part of the deal. Hopefully there are no issues.

Did you get the hitch installed? I'm looking at a similar issue on an Overland.

I installed the Class IV hitch myself in my garage. It was pretty straightforward. There's a thread on it in the towing section. For the feature comparison, that was the only difference between my as-ordered rubi because of the other packages I selected that did get the upgraded fan, alternator, 4.10 gears is stock with Rubicon, etc. etc.

Know that the overland is significantly hindered for towing. You won’t have any of the cooling, alternator, wide track axles, 4.10, etc etc that a rubicon includes standard for trail riding. Adding a hitch to an overland will significantly limit what you can tow tv adding a hitch to a rubicon.

It would probably be the 6,000 tow limit of other automatic Overlands
