AFE lists the same part numbers for their EcoD wrangler and gladiator intakes. I bet S&B’s is ready, perhaps they didn’t update the site or something. They’ve been working on it for some time.

Great find. I’m planning to call in the morning, if they are in stock I’ll grab one. I was holding out for AFE’s Momentum HD but they don’t seem to be providing honest details on availability. Things are crazy right now, I know, but one of our members has been waiting for months for his (he ordered two to hedge his bet) and sure enough when I called them a few weeks ago they told me no worries if I were to place an order, should be shipping any day. I knew that was utter b/s so S&B it is if they are ready.

I know! I DM’d WIX to let him know about the SB. I might place an order too and SB is top notch build quality with respectable pricing. I like the optional silicone box plug too.

Called S&B and the support technician said their wrangler EcoD intake is not compatible with ours. They did say they should be releasing ours soon but didn't have an ETA. I'm in the process of cross-referencing the OEM part numbers (specifically the filter housing and primary intake tube) to see if mopar has the same stock part numbers between the two. I can't fathom why they haven't green-lighted it for the gladiator outside of perhaps not having access to something local for testing.

Wrangler and Gladiator are 110% identical under the hood. What works for JL works for JT.

S&B told me that it's on the website, but it's still in testing phase. They expect it to officially go on sale after the New Year.

Interesting that this one is designed to draw air in from down low in the airbox, which is the same effect as totally removing the snorkel from the factory airbox. That leaves the engine a little more susceptible to water intrusion, and GDE told me while tuning my truck that drawing air in from that location would rob a little power because when the engine fan kicks on, it almost pressurizes the underhood area with hot air.

Have you pulled the stock airbox out? It looks like (based on this part photo) that there might be two additional inlets on the factory snorkel attachment. I could certainly see S&B (and AFE for that matter) getting creative given how the OEM snorkel duct collapses if given the opportunity to actually flow more.

Yes I ran with the rubber seal and the snorkel piece fully removed from my airbox all summer. I saw improved intake air temps and there's no way it couldn't have been pulling in more air that way. But when the guys at GDE were tuning my truck that's the first thing they noticed and commented on. They said why did you do that? You'll pull in hot air and hurt performance. And I told them my Scan Gauge had shown a decrease in IATs with it that way. They were surprised. So I put the snorkel and seal back on when I got home. Figured I'd try it again. Though with the factory seal against the hood, there's only a small slit that it can draw air through between the hood and fender. Very odd to me. But....

There's also a duct that draws air from the front grill to the bottom of the air box, but not actually connected to the box.

This puppy sucks up to 26psi of boost, that dinky little thing aint helping much. Be interesting once more manufacturers come out with intakes, what hp/tq they will advertise. I know i had a unicorn with my mazdaspeed3 and it put 20whp/20tq to the wheels just removing the terrible factiry intake with the Injen intake.

Yup. My son also has a Mazdaspeed 3, it gained quite a bit with just the Corksport intake and COBB access port.

Mine diesel maxed out at just 23 psi of boost. That's interesting that your seeing 26psi.
