Definitely check out the rock hard bumpers. I love mine. I went with mid width in steel primarily so I could get the front receiver. If your looking to keep weight down their aluminum model is crazy light.

I think I looked at theirs, and they were one of the few sites to give a hint of the weight of the bumpers by telling you the shipping weight...

Yep, it was them, I compared the mid-width steel w/winch plate and aluminum mid-width w/winch plate...
Steel - 137lbs
Aluminum - 34lbs (!!!)

I just got the high clearance spartan bumper from rugged ridge. I did take it out and weigh it all; weighs in just over 70lbs with all the pieces. Which I believe is about the same weight of the Mopar steely if I remember correct. Someone would need to verify that. Could save weight by removing the bar. I'm playing this same game figuring out what winch I want now and thinking I'll be looking at some leveler kits if it sags too much after winch and bumper is added.

Haven't installed it yet, so no pictures unfortunately. But a link anyways to what I ended up getting:

One of my concerns about any bumper I look at, especially if I put a winch on it, is how will it impact when we hitch up to our camper, if I don't also put some $$$ into the suspension (levelling kit, lift, or beefier struts / shocks at least.)

It's one of the reasons I'm contemplating an aluminum, despite the price...

Now, if enough people tell me I'm being overly cautious? Well then...

When mine was bone stock, I put a steel bumper and 12k winch on it. It had zero impact on towing.

I ordered this one today.
40 lbs
Comes with winch mount and skid plate
https://www.extremeterrain.com/mp-c...-forged-aluminum-front-bumper-j134510-jl.html
It shows it’s for a wrangler but I talked with the ET tech and he found that it also fits the Gladiator Mojave

they also have this one.

It’s a different item number but won’t fit the Launch edition, Rubicon, or Mojave but looks like it will fit your trim version.
Mine is supposed to be at my door on Friday and will be installed by Christmas

The way I see it is you're looking at partial plastic versus all metal bumpers. All metal better withstands damage, but comes at a price and weight cost. Aluminum overcomes most of the weight issue, but at a higher dollar cost. You need to decide why you want a bumper change, and just how much you're willing to spend to get it.

Do you need, or want, a winch?
Do you leave the pavement, or is it all highway travel?

There are a lot of threads on bumpers, and many include the side effects of changing them.

One option to consider is the aluminum clone of the Mopar steel front bumper. It has one or two of its own threads.
Link me please I can’t find

Shoot these don’t fit a rubicon and that’s what I need
One of those does.. there’s honestly no reason either actual bumper won’t fit the rubicon, if anything, the incompatibility comes from mounting the skid and, which skid gets the appropriate brackets/adaptors to fit the skid.

I’m running the steel eBay clone without a skid on my rubicon. I ran no skid on my JKR with no issue, plan to keep it that way

I vaguely remember someone else saying that, and ordering it and the ends still come off.

That’s my dilemma is I want a full but know a stubby is much better for the fun stuff and when I’m upping tire size
Modularity is the new move. I would have rather an ARB bumper but couldn’t justify 1000+ when I’m not quite set in what I want to do with the jeep yet.
