As far as I understand, yes, the system displays an error screen and the shocks set to firm (which I actually kind of like how firm feels personally).I guessing you have a defective solenoid on the noisy shock? I'm sure they will get it handled for you, but We all understand the downtme/shipping is a drag.
The electronics is my biggest concern since it seems electronic bits have such a high failure rate these days. What happens when the ECU overheats? Full shut down and shocks go full firm?
When I spoke with SDI on the phone earlier, they had me swap sides with the small metal cylinder on top of the reservoir (which I’m guessing is the solenoid) that the wires plug into. The sound did not follow the piece that was swapped over, so the sound is definitely internal to the reservoir. They mentioned possibly low oil or air in the system.
Found out from my buddy at the local outfitter today that the warranty procedure I mentioned earlier is pretty standard, which relieved my worries a bit. I’m hopefully going to get the shock in the mail tomorrow.
