Try adjusting your headrest to the proper height. I have always kept them pushed all the way down because I like the way it looks and never really had any issues. My current car has the same problem you describe where it's just not comfortable if you sit back. It pushes your head forward/down and will give you neck issues. Per the manual I adjusted it so that my ears are at the middle of the headrest and it's much better.

That sounds like me - and part of it is I'm too lazy to mess with 'em LOL
Gee, I'll have to give adjusting them a try!

I agree with others that the seats are comfortable for me. I did like my 100 adjustments and the side bolsters in my GC Trailhawk more but the JTR leather seats seem very comfortable on both short and long drives.

Coming from deep bucket seats it took some getting used to. But I will totally agree with the head rest. No matter what position its in its super uncomfortable. And if it is a whiplash safety thing, is it just designed to break my neck immediately so I'm to dead to worry about it?

I feel like the base should have adjustment up and down. I find the seats comfortable but I’d be much happier if I could sit 2-3” lower

So I've had the jt for about a month and put on almost 3,000 miles and I have to say I think this is one of the most uncomfortable seats I have sat in.

First off, the headrest is so forward that it bothers my upper back/neck. I realise is an anti whiplash thing but really.....also, try to recline and lay there. Your chin will be in your chest.

Second, talk about lack of lumbar support. I feel like the middle of the seat back is carved out. No lumbar whatsoever. That combined with the headrest really makes it not comfy.

And third, the seat seams narrow. I know I could lose a few LBs but it feels a little tight. That one's on me.

All said I think an airplane seat would be more comfortable. My Ram and Liberty are so much better. I'm thinking about looking for an aftermarket seat.
I agree 100%. The JK seats were nice compared to these. Flat, hard, too shallow, lumbar support is 6" above the lumbar area, narrow, and no tilt adjustment. In a high priced truck. WTH Jeep?

I have to disagree about the lumbar bit - one of the problems I have is too MUCH curve to my spine - the lifting and bending and lifting while bent over have caused my spine to have about a 60 degree curve - about twice as much as it should. This seat really helps support my back and reduce the pain.
I know everyone has a different back, different needs - but this fits well - which would seem to mean that part of the seat really holds, instead of being a hole back there.

I have a 2016 JKUR Hard Rock along with a 2020 Gladiator. My perception is that the Gladiator sears are more comfortable, than our JKUR. Certainly softer leather.

Different strokes for different folks.

Well said and I think you hit on why I like the seats in my JT better than in my wife's Grand Cherokee - the seats in her Jeep feel hard to me. Not soft.

Wife had a 2015 Grand Cherokee with all the bells and whistles with heated and air conditioned seats. Those seats were never comfortable to me. No real support, just a mush place to set your bum. I much prefer the JT cloth seats we have now.
