They are already dented, I vote hammer clearance. Won't look any worse than it does and it's still cleaner than a hole in my opinion.

Aesthetics always ruin function. You said it yourself, it's not a pavement princess. Doesn't need to be a 7.3 powerstroke either, but make it function, then make it pretty.

That's a lot of money for a piece of scrap aluminum, a few bolts, a spring, a delrin knob, and some epoxy.

EDIT: You can get everything to build this at your local hardware store for under $50 (on average). The potentially highest price item (if you don't have it) would be the metal plate.

I’m running the 10.5 the 2.5 lift is right at the cut off for the smaller ones.
