Does anyone know of any side steps or anything like that? That also works without having to remove the Rubicon rock rail.? I hate that pinch seam look

If you want these as rock rails, Ace makes very nice sliders that leave the rubicon rails in place.

I replaced my gold Hide-a-Step
with these modest Tyger steps.

It does leave the pinch rail expsed
but this precision sized old man
has been very pleased.
And the dogs are happier, too.

Thanks, but I gotta keep the rock rails. Can't stand that pinch rail, look, and I do still slide on the rocks

Second vote for ACE Engineering's Rock Rails, that are easily used as steps, too.

Wife and daughter are 5'2-5'3, and use them every trip, whereas they're also close enough to the body, that I, 6'2, can step right over them into the cab.

IIRC, they were claimed to be rated for more weight than your jeep can actually hold, and SUPPOSEDLY are also able to be used as recovery points.

That said.. they serve a few purposes on my JT:

1.) steps for the folks that can't step right in.
2.) sliders for dealing with rocks and trees. (Mine has seen rocks 2-3x, but has seen trees more times than that)
3.) This is the one thing that a lot of people overlook... prevents door dings in parking lots, when someone decides to park too close to you, even though you've parked out at the far end of the lot... It's somewhat satisfying when they throw their doors open wide, and immediately have a BANG sound, as their door wraps around the slider. Since I DD mine, they've been used for THIS purpose, more times than I can count ;)

That’s kind of the point. You can scrape these over the rocks without hitting your paint. The rubicon rails will not survive that. These you just touch up when you scratch them, just like any rock slider. My rock sliders are scraped to hell. But my rocker panels are untouched.
