Sirius is the one subscription service that is worth me keeping at any price. I hope I see an offer like that, i'm a long time customer with the service in both cars so I don't get those deals as much
Call or Chat with them and tell them you need to get the $5 promo and they will give it to you; If they don’t threaten with cancelling. They’re hurting right now because a lot of people are not commuting and getting rid of cars (My case).

If you re-subscribe after your trial, you must call in to unsubscribe before your term is up, or they will automatically re-subscribe you and charge your method of payment at the highest rate. Always unsubscribe and wait a while, then call in later to talk to someone with an accent and low voice tone that is very difficult to understand and negotiate your best deal. Be prepared to be put on hold a few times while the person you were talking to switches you to someone else with even more difficult understand communication skills. You can easily start a subscription online, but you have to call in and talk to someone (with the accent) to unsubscribe, this is SiriusXM and many other companies business model to make it as difficult as possible for you to unsubscribe.

$5/yr or $5/mon ? Assuming it’s the latter as that’s typically their cheapest non-trial price. I deferred the issue by getting 3 more months for something like $2 total. So I’ll play the subscription song and dance after that. Would be nice to see some sort of new deal come along, their music royalties keep getting more expensive every year.
Be careful. That one is contracted to be $21 at a month right after its over. They tried getting me on that, but they are agressive with that auto renew.

We don't use the music much at all, but the emergency call features etc I like. I'd like to have the equivalent of OnStar and be done with the noise - our shared Spotify is way better.

I must be old school - I will NOT pay for any music service whatsoever. Once the free subscription is done, I'm done. I've already fought with Sirius once (yes, during the free 12 months) and that right there tells me what to expect in the future. I'll stick to terrestrial radio, iHeart radio (VERY few commercials on the stations I have) and my iPod (yep - still running that in my JT).

yup, i'm aware, I've been using SiriusXM since their beginning ?

I set a reminder on my phone and prep 20 minutes for the song and dance phone call; you can get $5/mon pretty standard on one phone call, working your way through their script (threaten cancel, etc.) but what I need to work on next year is getting some of those higher taxes & fees subsidized, because those are tacked on after the reg price (and the royalty fee has really gone up the past couple of years)

I've been a Sirius customer since 2005. Your best option is to ALWAYS let the subscription expire and go without for a month or two. $5/month is a good deal but not a great deal; I am, currently, at $1.99/month in 3 of my vehicles. Granted, it's only for 6 months, but I'll repeat the process when that expires.
Now that's what I'm talking about, Hawkeyes! Thanks!

The art of negotiations, this thread proves some understand and others do not. I have had Sirius for over 20 years and have never paid over half and many times less. Currently paying $60 for the next year.
Negotiations is a skill, when developed, will serve you well for a lifetime. Whether it's Sirius, a new Jeep, or your wife!

Is SiriusXM™ Guardian service a separate service from the satellite channels offered? Or is SiriusXM™ Guardian service included in the subscription?

I believe they are separate, but I'll have to log in to confirm.

It is a separate service, it is renewed through your Mopar account, and there is no discount or negotiation on the price.

You can remove the credit card before renewal date, no auto renew without it. Gives you time to renegotiate the fee. I have done this every year.

Sirius doesn't come free with the vehicle, you paid for the subscription on the price of the vehicle.

Mine expired last week as well. I think I will take the $5/month for 12 months and then cancel like most of you mentioned. Been a subscriber since 2005 and unless you cancel and resub, you aren't eligible for their promotional offers.
