I haven't paid more than $12 a month for 2 vehicles in over 5yrs. My wife just keeps telling them we want to cancel and they ask why and she's says because it's going up and they keep renewing it for the same price. We actually just renewed for the whole year and they gave me 3 months free on the JT. I use mine so it's worth it to me.

I just used a burner disposable credit card number generated from one of main credit card accounts. Allows me to set a low limit and an expiration date that is usually a month before the anniversary renewal date. Keeps them from giving me the teaser intro low per month plan and then try to slam me on the renewal.

i pay 18 a month for my wifes vehicle. I dont drive enough to validate 40 bucks for two vehicles.

She has a 30-45 minute commute so i dont care if she has it. She loves listening to HLN, if i ever go missing, the wife un-alived me.

i would pay 20 a month for two vehicles, but they would never do that.

FYI for active military and veterans, Sirius XM does offer a military discount.

I used to have a subscription to them years and years ago when I spent all day in a truck out in the oilfield, and it was worth it to have something to listen to besides country or tejano. But yeah, when I finally cancelled it, it took forever. Of course you can easily sign up online, but cancelling requires you to call, wait for the retention department, hear 10 sales pitches, and finally an hour later they cancel your account.

I still like the content, and I would happily pay up to $10 a month total for the highest tier plan for 2 vehicles. Anything more expensive than that isn't worth it to me.

You can cancel on the online chat, have been doing it that way for years.

You are seriously over paying. That’s way too much. I’m sure you can get them to give you a better deal than that.

The best deal was when Sirius first came out. The satellites had just launched. My brother talked me into a lifetime subscription. I think is was approx. $275 or so...., like a 3 year payoff at the time. You get three radio upgrades with it, but, if you replace the same radio, it does not count. I have a bunch of Sirius s50 that I was swapping out for a while once they go bad... I remember there was some fight to get XM support when they merged, but, we got it. They did not have streaming wifi yet either, but, when that came out, all lifetime subscribers also got it. That was the golden ticket... So now, I pretty much just stream through my phone with apple car play. So, I have to say, the lifetime subscription was the greatest deal of all time.

Just cancelled. Hate dealing with these people. Watch them, shady.
Indeed, shady. It's the radio version of a car dealership. I got off their wheel after a crazy frustrating waste of my time 10 or so years ago.

haggling isnt in my nature. im also a believer in if you have a product and i want it, i pay the price you want.

id want that if i owned a business.

all joking aside, its the top tier and for my wife, its worth it. lmao

My wife likes it. I just keep saying no until they offer 12 months at $5 a month. Worth it for her. Sometimes I like the country stations. She likes the wrestling stuff.

$12 a month for 2 vehicles for me. Jeep Gladiator and BMW X5 50i. Speak to someone other than the customer rep, like her supervisor, they always give us the same rate every year.

We did the lifetime subscription too. Glad we did, except they screwed us on the 3rd dead receiver replacement and insisted on a $75 fee and I wasn't prepared to fight the fight at the time. I'm expecting a discussion will be needed when I transfer the lifetime subscription to the Gladiator because they've tried to count the dead receivers as "upgrades" before. We'll see.

On a side note, happy to mention I recently won a fight with DTV by pointing the "supervisor" to his own DTV website and FAQ where it said replacing broken equipment does not create a new contract period. He literally stuttered as he read it and said "I didn't know that". Obviously. I kinda felt like I had won the lottery that day. :like:

ha, ha, lol, now, I remember the $75 fee they try to nail you with even if you are replacing with the same receiver. They tried to get me on a S50 to S50 replacement for $75. Yes, I had to talk to some manager and remind them that I do not have to pay the $75. Eventually, he agreed. For the Gladiator, I did not install the S50, I am just running sirius through apple carplay on my iphone. Of course, it only works were you have cell phone reception. The 3 satellite receiver upgrade was OK if you stick with the portables like the S50, but, for me, the Sirius online app. that we got for life later on really changed the game.
