Ok... thought that let them fix it for me... I guess I will have to find another shop... It's hard to make a same-day appointment.
They might uses the same type of weights again. Discount Tires has the nice narrow weights, which has more adhesive surface contacts on the barrow. Avoiding places that uses square weights unless you're on 20"+ wheels.

True... they might not even have the right weights... Can not fix anyway...
No Discount tire around me unfortunately. Any other good tire shops you recommended?

Sorry. I have no ideas with any good tire shop in your area. Maybe some 4x4 shop?

Go back and show them the picture and see what their response is. Give them the chance to try and fix it. The Gladiator has much tighter clearance due to the large brakes.

Sorry to hear about the wheel weight issue. Should be able to correct with a lower profile wheel weight. Most tire stores should carry them in stock. While we do not have Discount Tire store locations in your area, I will do my best to help. Sending a DM your way.

Yeah that shop did not have a fuckin clue. Thankfully it will be an easy fix, shitty part.....you'll have to pay another shop to do it right.

Lesson learned, go to the right shop the first time, even if you have to wait

Lug nut torque had no promblem. The noise only came from the driver's rear side...
Same thing happened to me. Same wheel. Mine was because the wrong lugs were used and they backed off on that wheel. Most aftermarket wheels need a 60 degree conical lug. The factor type have a slight bulge in the cone. My wheel lost three lugs and was almost ready to come off! It also ruined that rim.

I had the same thing happen to me twice. 1st time was a local independent tire shop that has great reviews and I've used them in the past. Low profile stick on weights were used, but they stacked one on top of each other at one location. Fortunately weights are soft and the caliper that was rubbing cut a groove in the weight without damaging anything.
2nd time was Discount Tire, did the exact same thing as first tire shop. Now my concern is when I go to rotate will the front have weights in the wrong spot and cause the same issue.

Moral of my post - it happens more often than we think. A groove can be cut into the weight before we even realize its rubbing, especially windows up and radio on with traffic. You may not hear it.

Man! Exactly! From now on, good shops only. I don't care how long I wait or how far I drive. Fuck that shop.

True man, thank you. I went to VIP Tire today, left my trunk there, waiting for their call now. They seem super professional.

Has it improved or changed any with time? It sounds like the adhesive from the sticker that was on the tread or something like that.
Thinking the same... I was thinking remove the sticker... lol

We've all been in the I want it done now situation and we've all regretted it.
