Velcro? We have a 2014 Flagstaff MAC 228 Popup. Upgraded from a 2017 JKU to get better towing capacity and to better fit our needs for a camping vehicle, so glad we did! My only complaint is the lack of a built in brake controller, I just can't come to terms to drill holes into my dash to mount an aftermarket one...
Maybe the heavy duty velcro. Then you have to worry about getting the adhesive off when you remove it. As a temporary solution, I went with these Command strips. I used them to hang a clock in my RV and that thing hasn't fallen or moved once so I thought I'd give it a shot for the controller. I used 4 of them and so far so good.Velcro?
Truck did great towing our wolf pup all the way from Dallas to Rocky Mountain National park. 1900 miles total, with an average of 8.3 mpg. The west texas winds struck again there and back, around 20 mph. I was actually averaging 10.3 from around the Colorado Border up in to Estes Park, so mpg actually went up in the mountains. Engine cooling was fantastic with the max tow package, it never went above normal operating temps and it was definitely working hard in the west texas winds and mountains. As always Texans headed out of the heat
Had the same experience. Towed very well. Could of used 50 more horses. Wind kills it but cooling is well set up. Was towing around 5000# while traveling . 5400 # with water. Crossed many over 12000 ft passes. Around 2400 miles. Was getting 11 mpg until we hit the winds for over 900 miles. 8.2 mpg overall.Truck did great towing our wolf pup all the way from Dallas to Rocky Mountain National park. 1900 miles total, with an average of 8.3 mpg.
