Larson makes great boats. I had a 1985 DC215 cuddy cabin. Repowered with a 350 cu.in. got decent fuel economy, 4 gal/hr at a 25 mph cruise. That thing was heavy though...5,000 lbs on the trailer. I used to tow it around with both my '93 and '96 Grand Cherokees (neither had the tow package, just a U-haul receiver) and they handled it beautifully.

Gotta learn to manual shift that auto.

I have a 27' 5,300 lb trailer that I tow with my Overland. Shift manually. Don't go above 2,500 RPMs in any gear and get about 13 mpg. Cruise at around 65 mph in 7th at around 2,000 rpms. When speed drops below 60 mph, drop to 6th until I'm back into the low 60s or have crested the hill then back to 7th. Occasionally need to drop to 5th but still keeping to the 2,500 rpm range. It'll handle it. Just be patient and drive your own drive. Eff them who think you're not going fast enough for them. It's how you get there, not how fast you get there.

I will be pulling our new travel trailer. Picked it up a week ago. My wife has the interior ready to go on our first shakedown cruise, but I still have to decide what I want to carry in the storage area.

I bought this truck to tow my toys; yesterday I finally had an opportunity to tow one. It pulled really well, but both the vehicle and trailer are light. I am curious to see how it will tow with the completed car and eventually with an enclosed trailer.

Picked this up this weekend. Did about 900 miles round trip on Saturday.
Pretty sure I'm about 100lbs tongue heavy. I was right at 500 according to the weighsafe hitch I have. I think the trailer is about 1700 and the RZR is 2000. After a stop to check tiedowns I set the cruise between 80-82 the rest of the way, got about 13.5mpg.

Just picked up our new trailer and got it home. Bought in Wilksboro,NC , pulled up the mountain to Boone, through Linville and Roan Mountain, TN and on to Elizabethton,TN . Very satisfied with how the Gladiator handled the trailer. Trailer is only 3100lbs dry and 22' long ,bumper to tongue. I do have a WDH.

I'm towing the same weight trailer with same aero shape front and single axle, and Jeep tows it fine, maxed load is 4100lbs. Looks nice enjoy!.....Jack
