Hey guys,

I have a 2020 Gladiator with the premium soft top. Lately I think I am noticing a lot more play (where the rear window hardly moved at all before) in the rear window.....

Has anyone else experienced this?

If so, will buying a new rear window section resolve the issue?

My dealer didn't have any advise one way or another, other than they see this in Gladiators and JL's.

Thanks

Have to ask.... are you installing the bottom channel? I've done that on accident once, saw my window flapping and found I hadn't secured the bottom tab.

if yes: heat will also loosen things up, too ; but I wound think it would be enough to be a problem.

Honestly, I've not taken the rear window out yet....maybe I should and reinstall to see if has come undone....

Wouldn't hurt, start at the cab, front bottom corners.... check out some you tube videos.
Some movement is normal, again with heat things will loosen up a bit as the fabric gets more flexible.

some movement is normal.. hard to tell about your situation. I have run mine with window in and bottom channel not connected.. slightly more movement but not floppy

I honestly think mine is just stretched from riding w the windows/top down.

Wondering if just buying a new rear window would resolve the issue?

I can't speak for you, but I have driven on hwy with roof back and back window in. Mine hasn't loosened to the point of flapping or to be an issue. Some folks have had to adjust their front latches due to being loose. I assume you don't have any issues there...

and as I think about it.. I don't think the back window panel could stretch outta shape that much as to be an issue... maybe bring it in to dealer and have them look at it
