I've always liked monochromatic, black and white suv's and trucks and now I have a white gladiator sooo...

I've always wanted to have a white vehicle, mount huge whip antennas on the rear bumper and bent forward to the hood like a military vehicle. Then put full size black U.N. stickers on the doors, hood and tailgate and see what kind of looks I get.....

My thought would be that people would kinda freak out.

Good idea? Bad idea?

UN has no authority here so I dont think it is illegal. Plenty of folks on youtube dress up their cars to look like the local pd but make small jokes like Decepticon logos. They seem to be bugged by the cops but not arrested

With the folks I hang around with and how they feel about the U.N. it might get you shot at...... LOL
Most of us have no use for the U.N. as an organization overall. The military arm, ok, but the UN - meh, not so much.

I wasn't intending to make a political statement, that's not my thing. I just wanted to see peoples reaction in general since most folks equate UN vehicles with "the $hit's hitting the fan"

While I think it would have a cool "shock" factor to it, I suspect it would get old after a little bit. I imagine a lot of people would be staring constantly, trying to talk to you, etc... For some that might not be a bad thing, but I personally would get sick of it real quick.

Are you sure you don't want to make a political statement - Your last line sure seems to indicate equating the UN to the global political climate is the reason people look at UN Vehicles that way. - Could be fun - but wear your body armor

The way I drive, I try to keep a low profile and fly under the radar, so this would not be for me.

That said, if it tickles your fancy, go for it. Not illegal, but could evoke an emotional response from some fringe weirdos.

The shock from it passed a while back. I recall in 2015 there were photos of the trucks being transported on flatbeds and a job posting for a director of civilian disarmament program to be station in NYC. It was back in the news in January

Reminds me of a subset of retired vehicle Crown Vic Police interceptor owners that kit their vehicles out to the most legal point to resemble working police vehicle and driving them around looking for the same false reactions. They are called "wackers" and they tend to get their asses kicked from time to time playing these types of shenanigans.

Running around in a "UN" marked vehicle is going to get you the same negative attention and everybody else is just going to look at you as a juvenile attention whore.

So, bad idea.

But the youtube video hits would make it worth it

Actually the UN has jurisdiction here, under the precepts of Agenda 21, Agenda 31, and United Nations World Heritage Sites.

Creepy concept.

Use care.

Probably get by with that in Maryland, might even get 95% of the population to surrender their pointy sticks.

But if you're coming to Texas you should probably wear your body armor and drive really fast.
