I have to be different from you. Back and forth from work. My regens are around the 750 to 800 mileage. On trips, it's around 950 mileage.I find this normal. Figure it to just be technology glitches. Its never affected mine differently, but happens occasionally. I also found on these trucks that short drives vs long drives dont matter. Soot builds and regens the same. I found that increasing the frequency of my air filter changes from the service manual rec down to every 7500mi or below was the largest contribution to better passive regen. These things are incredibly sensitive to air intake. I tried a Rislone DEF treatment once, it shot my EGR and Turbo Temps through the roof, like 1800 and above putting the truck into reduced power mode. Never touched it again, never had an issue again.
