Don't know how much you'll feel the difference driving (as I haven't drove one without Fox shocks), but the Fox shocks will be significantly higher quality than the cheap stock shocks that come on the non-Rubicon models.

I swapped on an otherwise stock suspension. Definitely worth the upgrade. Also if you can get the coils from the rubicon too it will net you another inch of lift(assuming you are talking about a spacer lift and not a coil spring lift)

That's for sure... I went with a spacer lift to retain my stock Rubicon suspension...Rides like a damn Cadillac. Floats over bumps in the road. :like:

You will need shock extensions for Rubicon shocks +2.5" probably.

Some of the Rubi increased height/ground clearance seems to be from the taller tires.

for a regular sport, yes.
Max Tow, no. The rear springs of the max tow are special progressives springs that allow for the increased payload and towing

Long story short: Yes, def worth putting Rubicon Fox shocks on stock Sport S non max tow. Much firmer/less bouncy for sure.

Long story: I put Rubicon coils/shocks on my manual Sport S non max tow. Added Teraflex 1.5" spacers up front WITH the factory isolator and .75" Daystar in the rear while everything was apart and gained ~3" up front and 1.5" rear. Waiting on adjustable lower control arms and shock extensions for front and JCR stubby bumper to get back from getting LineXed.

Hello

I did the same with my overland.
teraflex did not include shock extenders, only spring bumps.
I haven’t noticed anything different, but haven’t gone off roading yet.
why will I need shock extensions ?
Which ones did you order?

I haven't put on shock extensions yet but will probably get the Teraflex set for front and back since I plan on putting taller coils in some day after I get adjustable lower control arms. So far, doesn't feel like I need them since I've only driven on the road. Most my offroad driving is on the beach anyway so I'm not too worried right now.

Why shock extensions? As it was explained to me, when you use a spacer lift/taller coil with shorter shock, you're taking away some of that shock's downward travel because it's already stretched out to accommodate the length of the spacer/added coil height. Apparently that's a bigger issue if you're rock crawling because you're stretching out even more when you're flexing everything out. Not the most articulate answer but that's all I got haha.
