Stock Rubicon bumper on a Sport S?

My neighbor put a new front bumper on his Rubicon Gladiator and offered to give me his stock number for my Sport S. I‘ve heard talk that putting the stock Rubicon Bumper on a Sport S model could drop the front end as much as two inches. Is the suspension that much different in a Rubicon? Has anyone had expericence trying this? Thanks for the help!

You should see a minimal drop swapping bumpers. The weight difference between the two bumpers is what would cause any drop at all.

Yes, I was going to use the ones out of my stock bumper

The only difference as far as I'm aware outside of the red hooks is the lack of a an air dam. (Is there really such thing a "Rubicon" bumper anyway?) There is a steel bumper but that's also not vehicle specific. It will drop it more though.

Thanks, I texted my neighbor and he has put new shocks and springs on his Rubicon when he bought, he offered me the Rubicon Shocks and springs as well, so that should help!! Thanks again to everyone

Amazon special LED fogs for a JK should work in your bumper....I think? I had some for a JK stubby bumper that I was running on my JL and those fogs installed into my Rubicon knockoff steel bumper, no problem.

If you add a winch along with the steel bumper, you'll see a little drop, but not much. You'll need to order/add some rivnuts to mount the frame horn brackets for the skid plate.

I went from a stock Sport to the Rubicon steel bumper plus a Warn M8. It dropped about 1/2”
