Pictures of the storage box. The install is not completed. Still have to bolt it to the front tie down hooks and run the power wires to the battery. But this shows how it will look and function. The two round black circles on the back of the box are power outlets for a refrigerator or other 12 volt needs.
What dimensions did you use and what was the cost? I'm highly interested in this.

Finally got my DiamondBack HD. This thing is an absolute beast. And way easier to take out than the Decked drawers if need be.

Very nice!

I’ve been debating a Diamondback cover.

Out of curiosity, what made you go for the HD? Given the load limit of the truck, I was thinking the lighter SE with extra cleats would be a good match for the Gladiator.

Very nice. I have been looking at these, and searching for pictures of it on a Gladiator. I am also debating about adding the cab protector to it.

Looks Awesome!
How is the access w/‘the front panel? Could you open it & take a profile pic so we can see how far it opens? TIA!

I'm thinking about getting the SE as well. Is the HD alot thicker than SE? The HD looks really big to me.

Or even measure the openings on either side of the middle panel?

Since the gas springs can be detached to allow the forward or rear panels to fold over flat, it’d be great to know the distance between the middle panel and the tailgate/cab.

This confirms that I will be selling my OEM rollup tonneau cover (at a loss of course :() from my soon to be delivered JT. I realized after I ordered my JT I should have applied the extra money spent on the tonneau cover option toward the purchase of a Diamondback cover.

The weight difference between the SE and the HD is only 30# and the ability to load more on top if I ever chose to do so (like an ATV) was worth the extra cost and few extra pounds IMO.

As mentioned by someone else, you can disconnect either the front or the rear and fold it flat on the other side. Or they even come off all together super easily. But here are pictures of both sides open. Looks like I've got about 2 feet in the front and 2 feet in the back.

I like your creativity and the box. Do you have more info on what you did inside the box? And the box model number/source? I hope you'll post a write-up of your electrical work when you've hardwired it to the battery. To make it complete (IMO), it'd be ideal to install a 2nd battery in the box! That's what I'm thinking of doing rather than spending huge $$$ on the Genesis dual battery kit.

From what I understand the only difference between the HD and the SE are added supports in the lid and more cleats. It's only 30# heavier than the SE, but those added supports ups the load capacity from 400# to 1600#. Will I ever put 1600# on that thing? Probably not. but good to know I can if I wanted.

Been looking hard at the Diamondback SE here as well. But it’s $1649 price tag would hurt enough already...there are other perfectly good Jeep mods I can put the additional $400 towards rather than go to the HD level. I don’t foresee loading 4-wheelers on top.

They both look awesome. I’m really after some security and all the other hardcovers out there look pretty cheesy in the latch department.
