mine does the same thing and my ford fiesta did it too. I think it might be something to do with the cruise control "ready-ing" itself maybe? Totally guessing.
Cruise control? Readying itself? At 7 mph? What's to ready? It's all purely electronic, there's not even anything mechanical about cruise for years.

Could it possibly be the abs system doing a self check? My Sierra does that same thing, at about the same speed but I've not noticed it in my JT.

I have an occasional clunking sound that is felt through the gas pedal when excelerating from a red light. I do not feel it every time though. I have a 2020 sport s.
Honestly i never thought much of it until i saw your post but i believe we are experiencing the same thing

I was told it was the "ABS Check" by my dealership about a month ago when I asked about it, but only because my service rep said his Toyota does the same thing. Tried to get JeepCares to verify, but that was too much to ask. I even tracked down another Rubicon and did a test drive - same thing. ShadowsPapa's post above seems to verify this.

I had this on my 2020 3.6 6 speed and now my ecodiesel … both non rubicon. Good observation on the 7mph. Ill do some testing when I get my truck back from the dealer. I always scratched my head as to why when I take off first thing I get a “soft clunk” that I can hear and feel every time I leave the house.

I’ll cruise at 5mph for a block then go to 10 and see if I hear it. In my cul de sac, it always club is around the same spot as I am chasing the curvature of the street, so I thought steering.

I guess I can pull the ABS fuse and see if it goes away … I have always been curious, on BOTH Gladiators.

Sorry I didn’t read through the entire thread so I hope I’m not repeating something someone else is already said.

I actually kind of have the same issue. It always happens to me when I first start rolling with the truck after a cold start. Anywhere from maybe 5 to 10 miles an hour and leave the development usually as it shifts from 2nd to 3rd I get a bit of a clunk. I’ve had it the entire time I’ve had my gladiator… It is more noticeable with the stock tire size than it was with my larger tires before I went back.

Best I can come up with is it’s just a rough shift for whatever reason.

56k miles so far and no issues with the drivetrain. So whatever my sound is doesn’t seem to be a major problem.

Chevy forums, and other car forums I can't even remember, all say the same thing. One indicated for their make and model (a foreign based vehicle) they said it was in the owner manual what the noise was. So I started digging through manuals - it seems 7mph is common, some go as high as about 12. Apparently the ABS only operates at speeds above about 6-12 depending on the model, etc. but 7 is a really common number and pretty easy to find the solution to all of this on Google.
I had about 8 different tabs open all talking about this - and all with the same exact answer (just that some had slightly different speeds and some never heard the sound at all) and I found this gem from Nissan..........

Bottom line - phone a friend, ask the audience, buy a vowel, no whammy, whatever - it's the ABS.

I couldn't hear it on my truck and my wife has never mentioned it on her Jeeps or mine.
I knew it wasn't locks, and yet several people mention the sound - but no trace of a problem or abnormality. So I did some digging - and learned some other stuff about ABS and ESC at the same time LOL.

Now if you hear a sound at 88 mph - that's different........ and say high to Doc Brown for me.

Did you just make this up randomly? What the crap?
I’ll add that to my list of funny things I hear here like, “my dealers leak specialist told me.”

Just bought a 2021 high altitude and I am getting the same noise but mine is doing it at higher speeds or when I’m coming to a stop I do tap my brakes a lot to use the downshifting of the transmission. I also took mine into the dealership and they just jumped in and listened to it with me driving and they was like oh that’s normal but i didn’t hear it when I first got it and now that I have 6k miles it’s annoying me. Did you find out what it is???
