They changed the date for 4/1/21 and this morning it changed again to 4/2/21. I will say it shows it in my state though.
I saw here on another thread talking about how long Fedex & UPS were taking, and I thought gee I never had any problem. Supersprings did have it at UPS the same day and the UPS tracking said I would get it on the 31st. I thought that to be a little too fast all the way from the left coast to Ohio.
Maybe by Saturday evening I'll be able to install.
It took me about 20 minutes to jack up the truck a few inches, just enough to give myself a little room to pop out the bump stops. It wasn't necessary to have the wheels off the ground or remove them. They came out with very little resistance, I mean little. Just pull to the side and twist out. Cleaned any dirt inside the socket, squirted a little WD-40 on the new ones and they popped in.
This picture was taken after I lowered the truck back down. You'll notice that the Sumospring is not contacting the axle plate. So the truck will ride as normal. They should engage when a load is exerted on the bed like the tongue weight of either of my trailers and other gear.
Now my camper is still in storage and probably will be for another few weeks so I won't be able to give any feedback on how they will perform.
FYI took literally 3 minutes. I didn’t even jack up the truck. I put a little dish soap and they went right in. I ordered some bump stop extensions to get it closer
Yes, just the back ones. I tow a camper and a utility trailer. I never thought I needed them but I remember how well I liked them on my Tacoma that I thought I would put them on. Thus only the 500# instead of the 1000#. There are guys on this forum pulling trailers with 600# and up of tongue weight and could use the heavier duty Sumos.
the tail end definitely sinks some. Can’t honestly say that I noticed the difference with them except that some of the bumps I didn’t quite get as much bounce afterwards so maybe they help there
I’m still waiting on the sumo spring inserts to arrive, they should make a huge difference while pulling the trailer
