I just ordered one. I’ve heard that those have better quality control. Not sure how true it is but i like the thought of it getting assigned to someone and they Giving the final approval. And this one the Vin is in the mid 210k my last one was high 109K so I’m hoping that after 100k vinsthat they finally got their shit together! (And yes I know that VINs are not always numerical)
Ha! That’s good-I DIDN’T know that VINs are not always numerical. I learned something today.

Yes some companies even let you pick what vin number you wants, for a premium. Chevy does it for their Vettes,

I sure wish I would have read these posts before I just dropped $58,000 on this Gladiator Rubicon. Has a great $58,000 compass and radio but I am having this same problem as everyone else on this post.

Dealer had a new vehicle on lot and was offering a special. I went to test drive it and turned on the vehicle. It has a check engine light on and sales guy said someone left gas cap off and that it was nothing. I said please have service check it out while I waited.
He came back and said service said it was a cylinder misfire code P0 something and that they reset it. I said well isn't that important and he said don't worry about it we have the Lemon Law in California if it is a problem. So I bought the vehicle.
Same issue as everyone else is now happening to me.

At miles 193 and 222 the vehicle idle's poorly and keeps giving the A! warning with service stop/start message. I have recently tried turning off the auto start/stop feature immediately after I turn on the vehicle before diagnostic start sequence ends and it has worked at preventing the warning for at least the last 10 starts so far.

I tried scheduling the online dealer service appointment but have not received a call back. I'll keep on trying. Pray for me. thanks

Build date: 10/19
Mileage when it first occurred: ~ 18 miles, CEL, 193miles A!, and 222 miles A!
How many times has it occurred: 3
What exact codes did it throw: P0 something cylinder misfire
Is the issue on going? Y/N Y
If so, what has been done to try to solve the issue? Turned of Auto start/stop and submitted request for dealer service . Still no response
Was the issue ever fully resolved? Y/N Not yet

Status update : Took the Gladiator to the nearby mountains and was religious about turning off the start/stop. Engine seems to run slightly rough after idling awhile but I haven't had the dreaded @A! in at least 20 stops. I know this doesn't solve the problem but at least I can use the vehicle while I can figure out how to get it into the shop

Quick update ... almost three weeks in the shop now ... still no diagnosis ... The dealership has kept me in the loop, so no complaints there. However, it does seem like the corporate technicians should have figured this out by now. This certainly takes the joy out of buying a new vehicle.

Yep, as the weather is warmer and the sun is out I can’t enjoy the truck on the beach or take it camping as advertised. Mine’s been in since Wednesday last week. I haven’t heard anything yet.

Vehicle is presently at the dealer been there since Friday, 6/6/2020. No one can give me an answer. Very frustrating.

Gasp ! Just had the dreaded @A! appear at mile 877 even with the start/stop turned off.. I reached out to Jeep Cares via this forum. We will see how they can help.

If so, what has been done to try to solve the issue? Told me it could be gas, Now they are just waiting on Jeep engineers to tell them what to do. Also swapped spark plugs which did no good.

I loved my Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and after 600 miles the A! came on then two days later the CEL with rough first start of the day. Idle is Very rough when it's cold and if I let it idle long the CEL will blink and chime. The mechanic said it was vibrating on one side of the engine. It has been at the shop twice and is now there till who knows when. They are waiting on instructions from the engineers... said something about a Star Ticket.
I am super dissapointed. It's my first jeep. It has been at the shop almost a week and
I am still waiting on a courtesy vehicle.

Quick update: Picked up my Gladiator after 10 days with the dealer to address the CEL and ESS light (2nd time it's been there). I have the service document they provided for the myriad of 'fixes'. Two days later ESS light is back on (heading back to the dealer for a 3rd time). Called the dealership & Jeep cares. Love the truck, but it's literally been at the dealership more than in my driveway. I've had the truck for 1 month with less than 600 miles and the dealerships had the vehicle as much as I have. Discussing buyback/replacement. We'll keep all informed on the outcome. I'm a little concerned on a replacement as I've lost some confidence in the truck.

Thank you for the update. Let me know if you need help getting in contact with your case manager at any point.

Hi @Gladiator Rube, @Hockeypilot44, @Mbeamer, @Gladiador,

If you would like additional support while having this addressed with your local Jeep dealer, please send our team a private message with your VIN, mileage, and dealer to start a case.

Same for me. I live in Charlotte and I have been having the misfire issue with warm weather
Curious, what Dealership are you dealing with in Charlotte?

Update from yesterday: Spoke with GM and service. They say that they have been able to replicate the misfire but not with enough regularity to be able to say what is going on with the Gladiator. Thursday makes 7 business days that they have had it. Also, GM of the dealership says my Gladiator is the only one he has had come in that has the issue. The loaner I have has 3300 miles on it and apparently has not had the light come on. Strange.
