Hi, I am new to the forum and found you guys due to having the exact same issue all of you are having.
I purchased a 2020 Gladiator Rubicon on 9/30/2020 with build date 8-20 and MDH 081314. At 584 miles (two days ago, on Saturday) I got the P0300 code and A! light. The auto start stop cleared on next restart, the CEL stayed on until I reset it with a scan tool. I was parked in my driveway, slight grade, below a quarter tank of gas, and about to leave for the gas station. The truck had done some idling that day as I was moving it in and out of the garage to position and tweak the hard top hoist I was building. All of my other vehicles would handle this without issue.
I was already planning to take it in for the death trap like steering (TSB) but now have an accelerated visit for tomorrow at the dealer I purchased from to address the steering and the CEL. Since I cleared the P0300 code, the CEL has not returned; Since I cleared it and it is not currently on, I am sure I will be sent on my way unless the CEL returns on the drive to the dealer in the morning.
Regardless of cause, owning this thing for less than two weeks and already having a check engine light has me regretting the purchase. I didn't have high hopes for Chrysler reliability getting in to this thing and now I am reminded why; you pretty much just have to want the Jeep and deal with the poor reliability. I did think I would make it to the first payment before it had to go in for warranty.
Anyway, with what I have read on the software flash here and based on my build date, I would imagine that mine has the latest version of software. I wanted to share that so that those who are getting the software flash as a solution know that it is likely not the fix, at least in its current revision.
Thanks to everyone for sharing their information on this issue, it will help find the actual fix! Hopefully mine gets sorted, I really like the thing otherwise and it had real potential to be one of my favorite vehicles to date but for the time being, it is just a $60K disappointment.
