That's smart.
If I wasnt wanting to get into jeeping crawling then I would just not even care about the JT and get a RAM. But since I am interested in getting into jeeping and am also needing to tow my trailer, I am thinking about getting a JT (as long as it isn't too expensive). It would hit two birds with one stone.

May be a tough sell to the wife when the time comes but wouldn't mind trading my 2017 4Runner TRD Off Road in on a JT Sport. The T4R is a very reliable vehicle and comfortable but I still can't believe the lack of technology in this vehicle. I guess Toyota doesn't need to worry about the lack of as their sales this past year have been the best since the current 5th generation 4Runner was released in 2009.

It's funny because in my experience more technology doesn't mean more problems. I bring this up because I feel like my parents generation have this attitude towards vehicle in general. I however generally buy a vehicle fully loaded. Not just because I want all the technology but they always do better when I get rid of them later. Now I know specifically with a Jeep they hold there value no matter what. But technology is the reason why I have never owned a Toyota. All the vehicles I have owned in the past I have never had a problem with any of the technology at all. But at the same time people used to say the same thing about power windows and door locks.

I can't argue with you on this one. Precisely why Toyota 4Runners and Tacomas seem to run forever.

Traded my 19' Tundra crewmax TRD Sport for my 20' JT Overland. I love my JT, but I sometimes miss the extra space and V8 power.
