Hello,
Newbie here to the Jeep world,
Been reading and researching online and this forum and the crazy amount of information out there. ? I thought I wanted the diesel but that $6,000.00 upgrade seems a little steep and I will not be getting a manual transmission which I'm not sure I want to give up. How has it been going from a manual transmission to the 8HP75 auto transmission if you made the switch?
I going to go with 37' tires and it looks like the only trims that have the right gearing is the Rubicon or Mojave with the 4.10 gearing. That seem to work fine for most with out re-gearing. But I'm thinking the diesel with work better with the 37" tires or am I wrong?
With the Mojave not having the option for the diesel I'm at a decision of getting the Mojave V6 with manual transmission or the Rubicon with diesel and auto transmission. This is going to be my daily drive and hauling construction material in the bed every now and then.
I don't do much off-roading any more but typically my fist addition to my rides is a winch to get me out off most situations on the beach or mud.
Any advise or link to other threads that would be helpful will be appreciated.
Thanks
