[Bandit’s Lair]

Post what you’ve got and how they’ve held up. As I’m sitting here on my tailgate the ridges tend to dig into places I’d rather they didn’t dig. Would be nice to have a flat table top type surface that is durable enough to deal with my shenanigans. I’ve seen the foam insert type and trying to shy away from those if possible. I’m rough on stuff so that wouldn’t work for me.

In all seriousness, look at buying a sheet of HDPE from Interstate Plastics or another online supplier and cutting/fitting yourself. Tailgate size should be well under a hundo.

I’ll look Into both of those closer. Went right to the wood grain option on the Interstate Plastics. $700?! Nah I’ll go with basic stuff. Probably black. White just seems like it’s a cutting board.

I'd just go with some plywood honestly. Easy to find, doesn't melt, and looks to be cheaper than the plastics to boot. If you want to get fancy, go with hardwood instead.

I bought a tailgate cover a few years ago by Snailarmor it's pretty expensive now costing over $300. I would give it 5 stars for looks, fit and wear. You can have a stock logo put on or custom. The Hooke tailgate cover should work fine for 1/3 the price, I looked at it also but I waited till Snailarmor had it on sale.
