... everybody gets too wrapped up in "their deal". My advice .... make the best deal you can for the day and drive off happy. I bought me JT just prior to Covid ... of course within 12 months there were some stellar incentives. Is what it is ... I prefer to dream about my Jeep and not so much the deal I could have had.

I love that - nervous about the miles!
Whenever someone tells me they are nervous about miles on a lease, I always like to remind them it's in their best interest to owe just a little bit when you return a car.

Think of it this way:

A 15k lease on a gladiator is going to be about $24/mo more than a 12k lease. Otherwise known as $864 over the course of the lease. $864 in overmileage charges is 3456 miles. 36k+3456 is 39456 miles.

If you do between 39456 miles and 45000 miles, you're better off with the higher payment, but if you do between 36000 and 39456 miles, you'll spend less in over-mileage fees than you would have with a 15k/yr lease.

Not to mention, miles paid for but not driven are equally a waste. If you have 12k/yr miles on your JT and you only drive 10 because you're afraid of going over, you're sending that jeep back home with free miles on it for Stellantis.

An ideal situation in my mind is to return a 36k mile lease with under 40k on it. You' haven't wasted a single mile, and you're paying less than you could have with the higher mileage payment.

And god forbid the absolute worst thing happens: you get divorced and move further away from your job and your kids and start seeing a girl who lives in the next town over, you can always buy your jeep out at the end.

Only vehicle I'd ever buy off the lot will be a used one for the wife unit. That's not a joke, so long as it's the right color and whatever she thinks is a high end vehicle is what I'll choose to get for her. She's got a '13 Lexus RX 350 with the safety awareness stuff and is thrilled with it. She's definitely not the "I need a new car every other year" like my psycho daughter in law is.

I'm not so wrapped up in the deal as much as I am in having it built the way I want it. Especially as I plan on keeping it until I die.

Already waited 2+ years saving and making sure my finances were lined up properly. But I'll more than admit to being disappointed in the constant jerking around of my build and shipping date now that I actually ordered it.

Before I ordered my Gladiator I considered the new F150 (which may or may not be out by spring of next year), and a few other mid size trucks. All in all the prices were close, especially when you factor in 4 wheel drive.
Cool factor won out. Jeep!

Thank you so much for this.

Your the second person on this thread to say they will keep the JT until you die. The other was 26 yrs old. How old are you?
I’m 62 and definitely won’t keep the JT until I die, pretty sure in 30 yrs I won’t be able to get on up into the Jeep.?
I’m waiting for the ones to come out that can hover and fly.

Liquor Attorney. So not all bad...
As our the arrival date of my Gladiator has changed from 12.9.21-12.27.21 to 12.20.21-1.3.22 I sit here with my order originally made on October 19th swirling in my head...

----- I can't wait till my truck shows up... turns to - I can not believe how much I am spending on a Jeep truck! Ugh...
I ordered mine last year November 15. I received it Jan 9. It was worth every penny. Pickup day and a few days ago... before it snowed.

Damn my wheels were shiny when it was new. I told myself I'd polish those pretty wheels every quarter... but now I take them for granted. Luckily I'm married to my wife and not my jeep... :piggybank:

Jeeps are a blackhole of money… If it makes you happy, don’t worry about it. And it only gets worse overtime… especially when you have to say “which Jeep are you talking about?”

Jeeps are like Harley’s. MSRP is the down payment for the parts and accessories.
Ya, and when you buy a Jeep, we actually get FOUR wheels for the price of Harley's two, so in my book, that's a big plus!

61. I sure don't expect to live 20 more years vice 30. Too broken after 30+ years in the Marine Corps and yet won't stop doing what others say I shouldn't because of my age. Much rather die having an adventure than sitting around waiting for it to happen. That's not my goal though.

My goal is to die having sex with the wife unit---while I'm on the up stroke. That way I get TWO freebies!

The first is after I die I get the down stroke and the second is when she pushes my dead body off her.

Yes, they are expensive but arguably one of the most versatile and fun vehicles on the road today. The utility of having a pickup is great but the fun factor is immeasurable. This past summer was like no other. Just going out to pick up a few groceries is fun with the doors and top off. You could see the envy on peoples faces at every stop light. It'll be worth the wait my friend.
