I'll play along ...
I found this arm rest cover on AliExpress which matches my Rubicon X leather perfectly.
For 7 bucks, I figured I throw this puppy on at the very beginning of ownership to prevent damage.

Whatever it is its giving me a headache just looking at it! LOL
It's like some kind of Penrose Stairs illusion. You just can't stop staring at it trying to figure it out.

Pretty sure if you fed this into The Matrix, it would crash the whole system.

It was on my insta feed, so I had to screenshot. I'm guessing it was supposed to be a bed rack, but that's where the cheap AI came into play and came up with that mess.

"buy once, cry once" is a lesson written in wasted dollars and time.

Sure, you can get the cheap thing for half the price of the good thing, but if you have to replace the cheap thing even once, you've now spent just as much money, double the install time, and you're still sitting there with a part that's just as likely to fail as the first one.

But, to be fair, this was more of a problem with the carrier (UPS, Post Office, or whoever) than Temu.

In my job, we deal with this a lot. Carrier delivers to the wrong address or porch pirates steal it from your address (tho you said you have cameras so obviously it was the former in your case).

The trouble is, once it shows delivered - the seller really has no way of knowing what happened. Was it delivered? Delivered to the wrong address? Stolen? Are you a scammer yourself and lying? How can they know? They can only go by what the carrier tells them and the carrier is saying it was delivered.

Fortunately, these days, most carriers are now taking pics of the package at your door when they drop it off to combat this very problem. So you can clearly say - "that's not my door" (or, if it is your door say, "guess somebody ripped me off"). I've had boxes misdelivered and recognized the door as my neighbor's. Just hike over there and collect my box.

Just happened to me last week, Fedex delivered my package to a neighbor and snapped a photo for proof. Except the guy took a blurry picture and you couldn’t make anything out. Fortunately, that neighbor is good people and walked it over to me the next day.

Wow - you must be reading my email. I just made my first Temu purchase a few days ago. All supposed to be here by end of the week. Mostly just cheap trinkets like colored overlays and such. But I did splurge for a set of "leather" seat covers. That's the one item I'm expecting to be the riskiest (as far as fit and quality goes). But for the money, I rolled the dice.

Will report back in a few days.
OK things are starting to arrive. Fortunately, the seat covers arrived first. As they were the item I was MOST worried about being garbage. But the verdict is in....

VERY impressed. The material is thick and heavy. The stitching is straight and sturdy. And the fit is pretty snug. Considering these cost about half of what a cheap set of seat covers on Amazon go for - first Temu purchase gets a thumbs up from me.

Tomorrow, I'll check out the snorkel. Over the weekend, the little plastic colored trim pieces.

Also, I'm sure Temu is same as eBay or Amazon. There are many different sellers selling there. So the question is not "Is all Temu stuff junk"....it should be "is the seller I'm buying from on Temu pushing junk"

These seat covers prove - not everything on Temu is garbage.

Will keep updating as the other stuff arrives....
