I need some good tie down points in the bed . The Teraflex has some beefy aluminum tie down vs the Mopar plastic . Anyone had experiences with either or have recommendations for other rail systems . About $300 for teraflex vs $340ish for the mopar . They look like the same basic thing to me . I have 2 heavy fat tire ebikes and when both are loaded the inner fender loops are pretty much worthless . TIA .

Can you use the Teraflex tie down points on the factory Mopar rail system?

I have the pit posse system in my K 1500 I love it. I got the Mopar system only because I wanted the power in the bed and didn’t want to install it. If I was choosing between the two I would probably order the TeraFlex.

I went with the Terraflex rails because the Mopar system is like $450 for no good reason, and the Terraflex rails come with some very nice tie down points.

I too went with the Terraflex. I felt like it was a more robust and better looking setup at a lower price.

Yes. Some models have brackets to mount the cover to the bed rail.

The brackets (four in the case of the one I had) slide in the tracks and the cover mounts to that.

For an example of how it works, see the illustration on page 4. ‘All other cargo management equipped trucks’.

The only reason I went with the Mopar rails is that I had a coupon. If the Teraflex is cheaper, go with that. Same system, from a function standpoint.

I have the Truxedo Pro X-15 soft cover and the instructions show how to install with/with out a soft cover. The only thing different with the rails installed is to remove a rear bracket and use the rail as a mounting point . I just have to remove a rear bracket on both sides and simply use the rail system for the rear mounts no extra parts to buy. Look up your soft cover install instructions to see if yours can be converted over.
