There’s no setting in Jscan or Alfaobd to disabled?
It's a live setting on the Tazer, meaning it requires the device to be connected to initiate a horn kill.

I agree that the three loud horn beeps are infuriating. Every time someone asks me how I like my Jeep I mention this first and foremost. I hate this on several levels. Why can’t it be disabled? Don’t I “own” this Jeep? I run into the Post Office every day and leave the A/C on for my dear wife and if I forget that I can’t shut the door the world East of the Mississippi hears that stupid Jeep horn. Three LOUD honks. I get it that ”if” I accidentally left the Jeep running in a garage it “might” be dangerous, but I don’t understand why I cannot disable this or tone it down 50 decibels if I never park in a garage. As a free man and alleged owner why can’t I disable an obscure function demanded by a lawyer at corporate? I thought Jeep supposedly cherished “freedom.” Mad as hell. The next time I’m leaving the door open in the rain to avoid three LOUD Jeep honks I will again curse Jeep lawyers.

Devil’s advocate here because it drives me nuts too, but why not just drop your keys in the cupholder before you get out? If you need to leave it running, do you really need to lock the doors anyway? I’ve just gotten into the habit (when I remember) to take the keys out of my pocket before I get out. Seems like if I’m stalking game or something I would make it part of my routine to just leave them in the Jeep…

My fob goes in my pocket, that way I don't forget it in the Jeep.
I miss the days of keys in ignition switches, it was foolproof, I don't know why they had to stop.

One idea I've had is a small pocket covering the push button, I can put the fob in it to stop that damn horn and it will remind me to take the fob with when I shut off the engine.

Don't get me started on not being able to put it in gear with the door open, that gets me murderously angry.

I leave the remote in the jeep 24/7

Its stupid big and don’t want it in my pocket

I don’t lock my doors anyway.

Exactly. Leave the fob in the truck. I keep mine in an RF bag at home attached ot the key so the whole mess sits in the drink cup while I am seated. That little depression next to the cupholder is designed to hold your fob.

If it's a quick out and in I just let the door barely touch the jamb. No horns.

May not be the best idea, but works for me. I keep truck running frequently when I drive around with my dog and need to run into the store for something, briefly. I keep my spare remote in the Truck and then can keep truck running with the ac on, take remote with me AND lock the truck with zero beeps.

I hate those days when I'm trying to hook up a trailer and the roll of the truck is just right where it's easing too far forward or too far back in park to get the ball lined up and I'm getting in and out of the truck to move it the width of a gnats ass and the whole time I'm like HERE WE GO I GOTTA GET ALL THE WAY IN THE TRUCK AND SHUT THE DAMN DOOR SO I CAN MOVE IT HALF A HAIR.

You’re a better man than me. I’d be out there shaking the crap out of it cursing to high heaven. All this instead of simply getting back in to move the truck a scunch. :CWL:

Oh, you are not Free, my friend. Stellantis is collecting EVERY detail about your vehicle, including driving habits, i.e. hard braking, hard acceleration, speeding, seat belt use, GPS, locations, etc. and selling it to the highest bidder. That's why I'm working on disabling the telematics.

Oh trust me - I usually try to blow my back out pulling a trailer into place then play the door game.

Every time I leave the truck running and get out and shut the door the horn honking infuriates me.
Some times I remember not to shut the door but when I'm opening gates or checking my trailer alignment I have other things on my mind and the horn goes off.

The last time it did it I was inspired to buy another car for a daily driver, a Toyota product, which emits a sedate little beeping noise when I get out while the engine is running.

I've considered cutting the horn wire but I'm sure I'll need it in traffic shortly after I do that.

So far my best idea is a relay in the seatbelt sensor that interrupts the signal to the horn.
The only reason I haven't done it yet is I'm lazy.

I get inspired every time the damn horn honks at me.
Or leave your spare key fob in the car

Of leave your keys inside or a spare key fob in the cab
Tazer - "KILL3HONK"
Is this a live function or set and forget ?
