Don’t touch the driveshaft bolts with power tools. Patience and hand tools. If you break one, you’ll be unhappy. And the bolts are one time use, as they have a seal ring. So I’d have a set on hand before removal.
I reused these bolts when i did my gears without any issues. But yeah, power tools only after braking the torque.

Did you find something to create new seal points on the bolts?

No such thing, just green thread locker. If oil leaks through the pinion nut, it will leaks between the yoke and drive shaft.

Their Icon sockets appear to be similar in quality to my Husky or Tekton stuff, and Husky uses old SnapOn tooling.
I forgot about ICON. I have a few Icon items also, so far they have been great, no issues.

It’s not to seal oil in. I believe it’s to seal liquid from getting into the partially hollow flange housing.

Nope .... what ?

and yes (after researching)Torx and STAR... in my case E-Star is the same thing... torx is just a name brand.
An E-socket is essentially a female Torx. If memory serves me correctly it’s between a 12-14. I got my mini rail set at either AutoZone or O’Reillys and ended up getting a sale item on a large craftsman set. The picture below show the image of it.

They really have great bite, but you need to make sure that you’re on it flush and not in an angle. Additionally the bolts at the front of the seat you need a long extension to get a good flush attachment to the bolt head.

E torx sockets are clutch in several areas on these. I definitely wouldn’t use regular multi point sockets instead. They aren’t that expensive, even impact rated.

Right tool for the job unless it's an emergency.

My favorite reason to buy another tool. It was the right one, and I didn’t have it. Weird how that starts to happen less and less. :)

One of my favorite things I've heard was when a "gunsmith" tried to use an adjustable wrench to remove a gun barrel.

"That's the wrong tool for that, and I have a better Wrong Tool at home! Give it back, I'm going somewhere else for smithing."

"I have a better Wrong Tool" is now something you hear around my place a lot.

Love it. I took my keys on Friday when a shop wasn’t interested in discussing the plan. Dodged a bullet. But I’ll buy more tools so I can do it myself. I’m so fed up with bad quality work, I’m this close to buying a co2 fill pump, and a 50lb bottle. I’m sick of depending on people. I’ll fill bottles for friends and other jeepers for half the price.

Flange and shaft mating is metal to metal contact without any gasket. What's the point if these bolts are sealed?

The flange in the shaft is somewhat hollow. My theory is they’re trying to keep that from being filled with water. Just a theory.

I ended up getting my set in. I didn't go with the set @Jefe1018 suggested like I planned because I really wanted the #11 socket and more of the smaller T-bits.. but basically the same set.
I will report back , hopefully they will do the trick.

Wait a minute! You got your new tool set and took a picture of it? I would have slapped that thing on and gave it a while. Assuming the new tool kit was near the Jeep!

Looks like a nice kit. Impact quality?
