The auto doesn't have a dead pedal either.
I know -I have an auto. (but mine has one NOW)
I was simply suggesting that since these likely have the same floor pans for manual and auto, there might not be room with a manual (clutch pedal and all) for them to build that in, but then I'm not sure how much space is left to the left with a manual.
It's easier to use the same panels for both auto and manual and if there wasn't room for the manual setup to have a dead pedal, then none of them would get it. Just a thought.
Some people want them, some don't and leaving it out and allowing for a personal choice, even adjustable dead pedal makes more sense than building one in that people will gripe about in the good, bad and ugly threads LOL

Solution - go buy one - it's a 2 minute install.

A lot of happy tall people in that thread. Taller than me, so I don't get the difference. I have plenty of room front to back. The seat is probably only slid halfway back. But even with the seatback tipped further back than I'm comfortable with, the top of the windshield is halfway in my field of vision. Sitting up like a normal person, I basically look right over the top of the windshield and have to hunch over the console to get my head low enough to see where I'm going. I have seen a seat drop bracket that I might try, but it's frustrating.

Did you have this problem in the test drive?

I had the height problem on the test drive (with this dealer, that meant a mile out to the interstate, one exit south, then a mile and a half back to the dealership, no deviating from the prescribed route, with a sales guy breathing over my shoulder the whole time... I have a whole different set of issues with this dealership), I just figured when I got more than 15 minutes with the truck I'd find the right adjustment to fix it.

No space whatsoever. Most manual vehicles do come with dead pedals though. Just not jeeps. They are too narrow. There's no room. Our TJ didn't. And our JK and JT don't either. I guess it must not bother me too much, though, since we've done three generations. If I had an auto, I'd need a dead pedal for sure. I want one in the manual, but it's acceptable as is to keep the proportions. I like the narrow jeep body.

Sorry about that. I had a salesman on one of my trips but we weren't held to any prescribed route. To bad they didn't let you sit in the vehicle. Guess you'll have to go without the top on.

1-do you have the base sport? Otherwise intermittent wipers are on the future gladiator, twist the end of the stalk.

2-headliners reduce cabin noise.

3-a Jeep is a brick, very common complaint on here.

5-UConnect app allows for web-based remote start.

Temperature outside has to be less than 40°on the Jeep thermometer. The outside temperature reading won't always be accurate with the current temperature.
You misread my post in a couple of instances. 1 and 5

1) I said VARIABLE intermittent. I know it has intermittent wipers. But not VARIABLE.

2) Yes. I just installed some this week. But still loud.

3) yes. But 14 mpg is still lower than 90%of the people here with stock trucks. have reported.

5) I understand that. In fact I mentioned that. Reread it. U connect works great from far away. And I said how I loved the fob based remote start because its so convenient.

I missed my variable intermittent/rain-sensing wipers at first too, but surprisingly not as much as I thought I would.

That will definitely improve as you break it in. The crazy thing is, and I'm sure you'll understand, coming from Subarus STIs too, I'm still pretty happy with this. It gets the same mileage as my STI did now that it's broken in. But it can run on regular unleaded! I think my Subaru was rated 17/23 on 93 (required). This is 16/23 on regular, so I'm pretty happy!

Thank you. This is good info.

Makes sense. I just never really cared to figure it out. The heater is too hot anyways. Yup, my heater gets too hot. Always has in every jeep I have owned. Way to flipping hot. I cruise at about 73 all the time. And that gets too hot sometimes.
70 for me. Still borderline!

3) Fuel economy. I wasn't expecting much. But I was expecting better than 14 mpg.
People told me it would get better after 5k miles for the engine to break in but for me it didn't actually it went down 1 mpg but I think that has to do with it being wintertime more than anything else.
I'm getting 14 mpg too in the winter, in the summer ~15 mpg on my stock Rubicon. I drive it like a grandma and I can't get that average mpg up!! So frustrating. I'm wondering if I need to regear it or if something is wrong. A lot of people on here are boasting 20 mpg!!! I've even done road trips and the highest I can get is 17 mpg consitantly. I want to get bigger tires but the gas mileage is stopping me. :( I might just go to 35” tires but if I start getting 12 mpg in gonna be pissed.

I use 88 octane gas, drive like a grandma, I do drive mostly city miles, my engine has 5500 miles on it. I don't have a ton of weight or anything like that, it's just stock.

Can someone please please please tell me if there is anything I can do?

Thanks!
