I would love to lift my Gladiator. But I have the world's best wife who is both short and also has MS. And, she asked me not to lift my truck for obvious reasons.

My wife is more important to me than a lift (but I did get to add Rubicon take-offs ).

Yeah, my dad, closer to 80 than 70 bought an overland after I got my gladiator (he was jealous of mine). He won’t lift his and will use the step side to get in but he loves it. That is what matters. Good on you as well!

A joke was made in another thread about Gladiator owners who don't put a lift kit on, being considered Philistines by the 'lifted' crowd and I thought maybe we could have our own thread here. I bought my Sport-S about 3 weeks ago and I love it. Not that I don't want larger tires, I surely do, but a lift kit isn't in my foreseeable future. It's just too much money for the lift, then for new wheels to accommodate bigger tires. When I wear my tires out in a couple of years, I'll be buying the 285/70R17's which will get me to about a 33'' tire, but until then, I'm perfectly happy running stock.

That doesn't mean I don't partake in other mods, I've converted the entire front set of lights to LED's and I'll be looking at doing other things as well.

Still stock here. Enjoy my JT, get lots of looks, compliments and inquiries from curious wrangler owners and get 23MPG!

I have never gone this long owning a Jeep without lifting and putting new rims and tires on it. Actually that is usually the first thing I do when I buy any vehicle for myself. I can do it, but I just love driving it the way it is now, stock on 245x75x17s.. I have 37,000 miles in these puny stockers (probably could get another 20,000 miles out of them) and I found myself looking at stock sport s take offs on FB. I can get the same sport s tire take offs for $200 bucks, maybe $100 bucks! That’s crazy! People are throwing them away.

? invest the savings.... I have a bad habit lately, saving and investing. ? I must be getting old!

Launch Edition, stock, will remain stock forever except for tire upgrade when the Falkens wear out. Use it as a truck to haul stuff, drive on the beach, use tailgate as a fish cutting board and a commuter to Atlanta to see family. Plus, my wife likes it the way it is.?

Did much of the "soup to nuts" thing with my LJ, and I wheeled it. I'm not in a rush with this one; plans are for Rock Slide steps, a 1 1/2" spacer up front & skids. in late June or so. Eventually, I'm sure there'll be more goodies, including tires and wheels,, bumper and winch.

Bought 17x7.5 rims right away.

Discount offered me $45. a tire for my new take offs when inquiring about future 37s with no lift.

Discount said up to 35s without lift but I have Max Tow
& already replaced the front bumper and splash shields that would rub.

Since I do only light off-roading I will try the 37s.

Just installed a front hitch receiver on the new bumper to winch deer ground blinds onto my flatbed trailer etc.

I use the heck out of the winch.

I have no plains to lift my JT. I have had several lifted Jeeps in the past. 78 CJ7 4" my most recent is a 06 TJ with a 3" lift. That said I live in FL no rock crawling just pulling the boat and riding on the beach. The JT does every thing I want as is. Yes I did put Rubicon take offs and tires but I liked the look.

In general they are spacer pucks added to the front suspension to take the rake out. Teraflex and Daystar are among the most popular I've seen on here. I did just see that rancho kit advertised on here last week which is piquing my interest and that'll be done with new springs and other suspension parts up front. I just added Rubicon shocks and springs though so that would mean I need to remove what I just put up front, so if I go that route, it'll be when these tires wear out and if I decide I want to go to 35's.

No, not worth it. Sport rims will work. Hell, I got 5 35" Falken tires with warranty for $1400 installed on OEM rims.

I think take offs are by far the best value a Sport driver can get. If you break it down its half off or more on everything. I got Rubi take off M/T's with TPMS for a grand. In my searching that seems average. People asking more I think are just factoring in negotiation and plan to get $1k to $1100. The wheels alone are worth $100 all day each, TPMS for $50, puts $600 in wheels alone. Then your getting $1k retail worth of tire for $400 before mounting and balancing. As far as the warranty goes, I don't put ANY value to a tire warranty. I work for America's largest tire wholesaler and process the warranty adjustments there. Unless the warranty comes with road hazard coverage the warranty isn't worth the paper its printed on. Basically no manufacturers include RHZ or a mileage warranty on mud terrains, and the AT's RHZ is rare AF and mileage warranty might get you 55k miles if you can prove documented rotations every 5-7k miles and then you're getting a proration back for mileage not achieved, and you have to run them down to 2/32 to get that warranty, and ill replace a tire at 4/32 to be safe. What size and style falken did you go with? I'll pull the warranty requirements if you'd like to know. At the end of the day I couldn't be happier with the take offs. HUGE thanks to the member here who sold them to me!

The tires were ok the rims were horrible. Shame that they put that on a $45,000 truck.

Well to each their own, I like the rims. I like a truck to look a bit stick but have it’s own unique look, my look.

I’ll lift the JT and purchase these wheels and add larger tires when these stock tires wear out. The JT will look almost stock off by itself to the untrained eye, but be more capable and appealing to those of us that like the stock look of the JT.

No immediate lift plans here, just swapped on some JL Rubi take offs. As I have aged more I have come to accept that relaity is this jeep will spend 99.5% of its time on paved roads. I just don't live in an area of the country where I can dart to Moab or some other serious off road park for the weekend or on a whim. I do plan to make some extended overlanding trips on BLM or forest service lands out west in a few years...but I think the jeep in stock form with the rubi take offs and BFG all terrains will get me in and out of everywhere I SHOULD be going. As others have mentioned I also like the reach-over height and entry height right where it is for my kids, and for how we use the gladiator on a near daily basis (kids bikes, folding chairs, coolers, recycling/trash, etc in and out of the bed....school drop offs, home depot runs, etc). I might add a 1" level kit to the front just for aesthetics....but that is all i have in mind.
