Got the call today. Parts are in and should be done tomorrow or Monday. As stated here on the forums, they will be replacing all the injectors, fuel rails, HPFP, cleaning the lines and tank.
service manager said the replacement pump is a slightly different version of the old fuel pump. The recall will remain open until the proper replacement pump is in.
Tomorrow will be 2 months on the dot.
More to come.

A buddy of mine had a similar story. Was out in the backcountry of Colorado. Ended up camping in a stranger's front yard. They were nice enough to let him stay the night until the tow truck arrived the next day. Gladiator had less than 5k miles on it. Covered fully.

If you're within the warranty time frame, you should be fine. Still sucks that it left you stranded but there shouldn't be any out-of-pocket expenses.
jeep as of aug 2023 still does not have a warranty replacement made on cp4 so it will probably get another pump just like it for now untill they get their crap together on an upgraded one?

No call today to say my truck was done but I did get an email from my girl through the Mopar app saying she has a powertrain malfunction. They must have plugged her battery back in and she threw a code.? first I’ve heard from her in 2 months.

I picked up my truck Monday. They ended up replacing both batteries under warranty as well.

My first impressions: it’s been two months driving a tacoma, 4Runner and Silverado rental and forgot how much torque the JT has. I’m wondering if the computer is relearning my driving habits since the battery has been unplugged for some time but it feels like there’s more turbo lag than before, Not even sure if that’s a thing. No weird noises. I wasn’t told to drive it any differently or if There is a breaking in period but my brain says not to punch it yet.

Since it’s a same replacement other than a new redesign HPFP, I’m thinking of using additives. I know that Jeep will take care if it but the hassle alone is unnerving.

Fuel mileage is still unknown. When the truck went in, the computer was at around 23mpg, which is what I averaged. Right now it’s at 18.8mpg. I just filled it up and log every mile and diesel fill up so the next two fill ups I will hand calculate to see if there’s a change.

i will be towing my off road camper up to Big Bear this weekend. (So happy to get out in the wild again). We will see how she does.

I have to give Jack Powell Jeep a shout out, I had a previous bad experience with them but this time I was happy with the communication, straightforwardness, and sincerity. I will be sending the service team a thank you. Hopefully will be able to call them my go-to dealer for many years. Including the final final recall service on the HPFP, whenever that happens…..

Resurrecting my old HPFP thread. I had the pump replaced in August of 2023 and just this week I got a letter about 02/NHTSA 23E-032 recall. Is there something new I should know about? Did Bosch finally upgrade the fuel pump and now they are replacing them. From what I recall, the replaced my pump with the same in 2023.

The replacement pump is the same pump as before.
